Christian Bale Confirm for Trilogy, New Terminator in T4

Not a whole lot of surprises in this latest round-up of Terminator news: the producer of the upcoming “Terminator” trilogy has confirmed to the BBC that Christian Bale is indeed signed on for all three movies, but then again, didn’t we already know that? What were they going to do, kill off John Connor in episode one, or two? Of course not. The other news concerns the appearance of a new terminator, that will be making his debut in the new trilogy.

Slash Film has more on the new Terminator:

Character designer Miles Teves explained how the new Terminator 4 will go back to the future in the design of the new Terminators.

“I did all kinds of work on the new sort of Terminator… uh, I can’t describe without being in breach of contract… But there is a new endo-skelleton-type super Terminator that in a way is actually cruder than any of the ones from any of the other films,” explains Teves on the Fanboy Confidential podcast. “This one sort of takes place before all the other films in a weird way. So everything in the film is actually supposed to be cruder technology than we see even in the first Terminator.”

To sum it up, the new Terminators won’t look like the ones we saw in the original “Terminator” movie, or anything remotely as advance as, say, the TX from “Rise of the Machines”. Basically, because the trilogy takes place just after the end of the world, Skynet still hasn’t created its more advance model of Terminators.

Christian Bale and T4 is currently in production.

Not much news indeed, and i think it was previously known that new Terminator type was the rubbered-skin series.

I think this Sequel is going to be pretty interesting, I cant wait to see what they do…especially with all this talk of Harvesters and such from MCG….this might just be pretty good….
