In very overwhelming numbers, the people who watch TV have spoken, and they want Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles back for another season. You hear that, FOX? People want TSCC back! If you don’t believe us, take a look at this Zap2It poll, which asked its readers to vote on which show should come back and which should die a merciful death. 26,553 votes were cast for TSCC, with an overwhelming 86% wanting it back, while a measly (and quite possibly mentally challenged) 14% wanted to kill it.
According to the Zap2It poll, the 26K plus votes for The Sarah Connor Chronicles more than doubles the closest competitor, the NBC show Chuck.
Do the right thing FOX and give the audience what it wants — bring this show back for another year!

We also won the Eonline poll by a large margin, they’ll announce the winner Friday, but we already have the results. Terminator mopped the floor with chuck and everyone else on the list. there’s also the imdb poll, in which Terminator beat everyone except Scrubs, which won first place.
The show is winning polls all over the place really.
I’m getting more confident about the show’s fate these days, but its still anyone’s guess.
I hope that not only does it get renewed, but that it stays on Fox. if it goes to scifi they’ll want too much creative control from what I hear. I don’t want to see the show less serialized. it has to stay the smart show it always has been.

All i can say is I hope they do renew this show! it would be a travesty if they were to leave it as is, although as time lines go the series finale left it pretty confused…. lets hope for everyones sake it has a third series so they can un-tangle a seemingly sticky ending…

I can’t understand the reason why someone posts his breakfast menu’s but anyway:/ this are excellent news! i really hope that they brring this show back. They have to! all the statistics point to that direction! i mean, we won all those petitions for a reason, right? why wouldn’t they bring back a show that has big audience and won all petitions! it’s the Terminator franchise. if there is any thing we can do to save this show, please let us know how!

This show has shown it has so much potential and character development that bringing it back would be the wisest of all decisions of all this year.
This show needs to be saved. There literally is nothing on that has a future in reruns & dvd sales. This show could be huge in reruns is they make enough episodes.

I’ve voted in as many polls as I could find. I think FOX would be foolish to drop this show. There is such a strong fan base. It can only grow with renewal. I’ve written to FOX, and signed petitions, as well. All we can do is just show FOX how strongly we support this show. Be positive, be supportive, and don’t be rude when writing to FOX or the producers. Let’s keep this show on the air, not for just one more season, but for as many seasons as we can!

I read that the Fox execs like the show and talk about it, seems frustrating that the new schedule is kept under raps so completely, hardly a top military secret. Friedman gave them his ideas for season 3 but they wont tell him a thing untill the 18th or so we are told.

Im from the U.K. and I love this show, TSCC is the best show I have watched and I want it back for many more seasons.

I think it has been quite well established that the show is gone. Unfortunately so. It was one of the few shows in quite a few years that got me interested. Unfortunately it did not involve ‘real people doing stupid or interesting things in front of camera’ so it obviously got cancelled. Propably is going to be replaced by a show titled ‘America’s best candle stick maker’, which stars some has been billionare trying to recruit a CEO for his candlestick business.
Its sad, but Season 2 did get a bit lame and slow in parts. I’m a Summer Fan, and we only got a few episodes of Cameron in Action. Mostly it was Sarah off on her own, or that messy Jesse stuff. Season 1 was a lot more fun, and a lot more of Summer/Cameron in action. If there is a series 3, I guess we will get to see Summer in her Alison human role, and as enemy cyborg, before striking up a realtionship with John, prior to sending her back as Cameron.
But maybe with the demise of TSCC, we will see Summer getting another interesting TV project, hopefully in a lead role. More Summer for me !

Its not over till the fat lady is terminated, has her chip removed and crushed! I for one aint giving in and will keep up the fight. You only have to see the wiki site to see the hope flowing bouyed by the victory in the polls. These dont go unnoticed by Fox and seen on their twitter page.
I’m from the UK aswell and love this show but I honestly can’t see it being picked up by Fox for a third season. Its absolute BS the creators, actors and other people that work on this show will already know its fate they have to especially the actors.
But saying this I think another network might pick it up. How about that network that Smallvilles on CW is it? I thnk that would be a great home for TSCC especially since WB has clearly stated that there looking for something to replace Smallville. I think this would be ideal.
I hold out hope that we get more TSCC. Please FOX.
I am with “andyk”, hang in there people. I beleive FOX is smart enough to hang on to the SCC franchise. My hopes are high. The fan base has and is responding to the question of whether there will be another season of TSCC in a great way. In fact by responding the way we do, may become the new gauge or measure that programmers will look at when trying to decide if a show should go or stay.

I watched this series from beging to end and i would just brake down if they didnt make a therid season. I hate when they just stop shows right in the middle of a good confusing part. They should bring it back or at least finsh the show with a few more seasons, please FOX.

I agree. I have watched every single episode back-to-back, twice. It just screams for a third season. There has got to be a resolution to the turn of events in season 2. Fox needs to do the right thing by the series and the fans it has garnered.
I think TSCC has had its day. All that Sarah Connor and John Connor business was getting tedious. I only watched it to see Summer Glau in action, and we only got to see that in a couple of episodes. The last in series was epic, but not enough to sustain the viewers.
What they shoulkd do is bring back Cameron to the present day, and give her some decent action plotlines to kick some butt into the Taliban, AlQaida, Swine Flu, Iran and the Brits.
BTW FireFly is being shown on the SCi Fi Channel(UK) next weekend.
Thankfully Steve you are in the minority, there are plenty of other brain dead action series around go watch them! If you have no interest in the show why are you here..

Nothing wrong with us Brits at least the British fans could be bothered to tune in to watch it. I mean no offense or anything but I see countless fans saying please fox give us a third season but where were you when it was actually on air. I know it was a Friday night and all but surely you could have went out clubbing an hour later then usual for the show or even just left the tube on and went out.
If it doesn’t come back I will blame the Terminator fans who says it doesn’t live upto James Cameron’s vision which btw is 20+ years old. And the TSCC fans for not tuning in. Its a pitty that Fox doesn’t consider International viewing ratings aswell.
But these big American TV Stations need to start including other types of medias such as recording and downloading.
I would like to see more Summer Glau though in season three if there is one because she was criminally underused in season two.

The idiotic statements that get posted to this site. I swear there is whole group of brain dead, drop-outs whose only goal is to crap all over the creative effort of others and those people who appreciate those efforts.
I’m an American. I’ve seen boatloads of crap promoted on TV as brilliant programming. I’ve also seen some very good shows get shafted and tossed out before they are even given a chance. I imagine others have seen the same. This show, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, has provided a good solid drama with compelling characters and interesting story lines. I do agree with some people that a few episodes in Season 2 did not hold up to the quality seen in the other episodes. However keep in mind that the initial order for Season 2 was for fewer episodes than the final 22. The production team probably had to rush some stories through, resulting in some minor continuity gaffes and less than stellar quality scripts. Some people didn’t like the whole Riley plot. If you remember, it was posted on this website, that FOX wanted John to have a girlfriend for this season.
Despite minor, and I do mean minor, faults I found, I found the overall quality superb. I thought the actors did an excellent job. You could really see the struggle Sarah had in carrying her burden alone; John still struggling to come to terms with his destiny but showing his true character where it counted; Cameron who was a complex character who provided the Connors excellent assistance but who had secrets. Her characterization by Summer Glau provided some of the most interesting scenes. We are left wondering if her affection for John was real, or was it part of her programming as an infiltrator. Season 3 may provide the answers but I am looking forward to seeing Summer Glau’s portrayal of Allison Young. I haven’t said anything about the supporting cast, but you know where I am going with this by now.
All I can say to you or anyone else, if all you are going to do is crap all over this show, or throw barbs at the good fans in Britain, than all I can say is Shut up and take your bigoted opinions somewhere else. But if you can offer genuine criticism and comments that are constructed to provide a genuine discussion, then please feel free to say what you want.
I only have one more thing to say: FOX, WE WANT A THIRD SEASON!!!

Maybe the networks think we need yet another mindless, idiotic, melodramatic “reality show” but I think we get enough ‘reality’ in real life!
Dancing with the SuperStars, American Idol Worship, So You Think You Can Dance Your Way to Stardom… how many more talent shows do we need? Maybe this will end when we are all ’stars?!?’
I don’t need any more idols to worship but would love to watch a great drama/action/adventure that would help me to ‘escape reality’ for a while.
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. I watched it, downloaded it, promoted it… and looked forward to it.
TSCC may not have been perfect, but you can find fault with anything if you look for it.
This opened up a whole world of new storylines with the direction they took the show. Very good special effects, on par with movie effects of 20 years ago. Great characters, interesting plot twists, and leaving us on the edge of our seats after each show.
This show opened up a whole new future for Terminator in the way The Star Trek Movie created new potential for that beloved franchise.
*On a side note - It’s all just entertainment!
Maybe if people checked their PBS station periodically instead of their regular idol worship sessions, they would see something that is both entertaining and enlightening.
Frontline, a PBS investigative journalism program, broadcast its’ most recent episode “The Warning” which revealed how political inertia and special interests opposed regulation that might have prevented the financial collapse that is now affecting the entire world economy. This program can be streamed at the PBS.org website. People can sit in their comatose state and watch American Idol Worship (or whichever version applies) or you can dust off your brain and watch PBS.
Frontline (US based) has the potential to awaken, inform, clear the fog, and anger people… that is “us,” the people, the masses, also …sometimes known as the blissfully ignorant.

Suicide-
You picked the right name to use. There plenty of people out there who would rip you up one side and down the other. You may have watched the show, but you obviously did not appreciate it for the decent drama it was. To many of you out there, you expect a recreation of the movies rather than the plot driven and character driven story lines of the TV series. You watch the program but fail to pick up on the details and dynamics of what is happening. Derek did die, but he still lives in the time line that John Connor traveled to in the future. If you cannot grasp the concept of time travel and all the variables and paradoxes that can occur once you start mucking about in time, then you are missing out on the the full run of potential story lines that can come about because of it. It has been addressed in the season 2 episodes. It has been hinted at quite strongly that Derek and Jesse are from two different future time lines. Therefore, there can be other time-lines in which Derek is still alive, and neither one has traveled back in time yet. Season 3 will have John Connor in the future. We may see him becoming the leader of the resistance. If the production team gets more funds, we may see some great action sequences of fights against the machines. That will be your “show about the future war based on the T2 timeline.” So whether you like it or not, if that’s what you want to see, then you better be clamoring for a season 3 just like the rest of us.

It depresses me we need the general population to watch the show for the numbers when I really just want to keep it for myself and those that appreciate quality, intelligent drama and writing thats willing to shock and try new directions. Sometimes it goes wrong and you get a couple of duff episodes but taken as a whole season I think it was great success and unlike anything else on at the moment.

You know sometimes I don’t know how I can remain so calm sometimes. There are just so many people out there who think television dramas are supposed to be like action packed video games or high budget films, or the very worst empty headed afternoon soap operas with plots with more holes than swiss cheese.
Frankly, I’ve said most of what I wanted to say in defense of this show already. I cannot say much more. But these people, who can watch drama like this and miss out on the so much of what is happening. I really don’t think they are paying attention. This whole season has been seeded with little threads and details building up to the last five episodes of the season. I watched them and I was like ‘Ahh so that is why he or she said this or that, or was shown doing this or that in episode 3 or 7 or 11, etc.”
You have to pay attention when watching this show. There are just so many people who want to be entertained without having to think. They want to put their brain on shelf and zone out in front of the TV. It takes too much effort if they have to bring their brain along to be entertained. God forbid, we will end up with nothing but sitcoms, soap operas, and reality shows if that continues.
Whole problem with some Terminator fans they expect every episode to be a mini terminator 2. I mean the first two films are good and I’m sure no one would disagree with me on that but you have to keep the franchise fresh and stop living in the past. I mean “But its not James Cameron’s vision” argument is old and quite frankly boring. This is another reason why this show hasn’t been as a sucess as it should have been and why more then likely Salvation won’t be either.
I’m going to be controversial and say I think TSCC is far surperior to T1 & T2. And it will be a damn shame if this show doesn’t get renewed for a third season.
I know for a fact when T4 screens we will be hearing the same old rubbish from fans that time forgot all saying “BUT ITS NOT JAMES CAMERONS VISION” blah blah blah.. This show and franchise would be better off without these type of fans.

I’m going to join you in your opinion that the TV series is superior to the first two films, in the following regard: The TV series allows for better character development and more complex stories than we saw in the theaters. Yes, the first two films were excellent, they had good characters, great special effects and imaginative scripts; but in comparison to the TV series the films were basically a chase and shoot to kill story line. In the series we get to see so much more of what is happening; we get to see the characters deal with with their own personal demons while still trying to stop SkyNet. The TV series gives us an excellent opportunity to get to know the characters more. Lena Headey in the Sarah Connor role has provided us some of the best drama; her relationship with, Charlie, Derek, John, Cameron, has provided us an insight into her psyche. Though Linda Hamilton gave us such a good performance in the films, we really didn’t get to know the character until now. Like you said there are too many people who are expecting a recreation rather than something new and intriguing but with strong ties to what happened in T1 and T2. In that regard I find the series a better successor to the first two films than T3.

Its just a Sci Fi TV show, get a life. If you arre looking for quality Drama, then us Brits are being inundated with high quality US Dramas( Damages, Ad Men CSI, Wired etc) We can’t keep up with our recordings. But some of also want to mix in a bit of fun, and to be honest eye candy, so hopnig that we do get to see more of Summer Glau. Lets be really honest, Fox and everyone really knows that its Summer that draws in the TSCC viewers. Please don’t pretend otherwise.

Summer is a fine actress and adds a huge amount to the show as well as being gorgeous but I dont think she is the be all and end all of the show, its the combination of characters and story. I do agree she does probably pull in a lot of viewers wtih her looks and wish she had more airtime to pull in more while it was showing.
Well, for once AndyK I’m glad you took point on defending the program or rather our position of TSCC. I like the show. I think all of the regular actors provide excellent characterizations. I do feel that Summer should have been given more screen time in season 2. The whole Riley and Jesse back story took too much from the central story, but the stories were good and were brought to a very good conclusion in the final episodes.
Yes, I probably do take it too seriously as well. Anyone who has read my posts in this and other forums on this website would probably agree. But it isn’t that often I can find a show that fulfills my wishes for a good solid drama with interesting characters.
What gets up my craw is some of the juvenile statements posted in inappropriate forums, or comments by people who obviously have no concept that TV series have different budgets than huge films so have to concentrate their funds on good scripts and solid character acting and only spend money on special effects where they will have the most impact. There are also comments by people who think the TV series should offer up mini-remakes of James Cameron’s films. The films he produced were very good. He laid the groundwork for people to take it in a new direction. I truly don’t think the producers of TSCC have strayed to far from James Cameron’s vision. They’ve just done what they could within the limitations of a TV budget.
I like what they have done. I think the producers and actors have done a marvelous job. They have given us characters we care about. They have given us stories we want to know how they get resolved. And I for one want to see more of this program in future seasons.

With what you’ve seen of T4, does it appear to be continuing on from T3 or is it like the TV series in an alternate time line but further in the future than T3 or TSCC?
Well, in techinics terms is more Like T3, obvious, but I like the TV series, some episodes are real cool, others are loose of time, but it’s ok, since they not stop airing.
The plot line follow in part the plot of T3, but looks like a complete different timeline from T3, really, I can tell one thing is not spoiler, because doesn’t apper on SAlvation, no signal of the existence of Derek Reese, this is real, we will only see Kyle, that’s prove the timeline and characters of SArah connor will not be relevant on the film, but T3, Judgement day showed on T3, continuous this timeline, really, it’s looks liking a prequel in fact. I don’t really care if TSCC has anything to do with T4 as I don’t have full confidance in the people behind the movie. I mean to kill John off and have him replaced with metal well that the worst idea of all time and supposedly in T5 John’s going back in time yeah that makes sense…NOT.
BTW T3 has been forgotten in T4 actually theres going to be no referance to it. TSCC is the best show on tv and its a decent addition to the franchise.

TBH This shows fate has already been decided its now just wait and see. But with dollhouse finale ratings lower then TSCC this could change Foxs option of which to keep only another six days till we find out.

I’t’s just so sad, that TSCC, a great show with so much potenitial, AND the brilliant T4 takes nothing away from the series, and should in fact only spur even more interest. Once again Fox gives up on it’s best show in years…. It’s just like Firefly all over again,. TSCC viewers are asking: why should we bother tuning in to any more SciFi shows, when Fox isn’t prepared to stand by it’s own program.

Hopefully we will now see more of Summer Glau in action, in a new series, now that she has established such a great following.
Only a little sad about TSCC it had run out os steam in my opinion.
No matter what we, the fans (aka the audience), have done, did or will do to claim it. who’s the blame to deaf the ears of the FOX execs and WB like the creators of TSCC? the ratings. but one of the reasons to not keep it is terminator salvation. the guys used the series only to promote the movie.
but the hope is still at large. If you are reading this, like us, YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE…

I made the mistake of buying both season 1 and 2 and watching them on my IPod. I went back to look for Season 3 and found this… I can’t believe it how many times can the TV execs get it wrong. This is a great show with great writters and a great cast. it needs a 3rd season.

They tried to make the show too cerebral. If they want to make this show better it needs LESS THINKING and MORE DOING. What I would like to see is CAMERON IN A BIKINI FIGHTING. I mean come on she is a Terminator and she has a bikini body, you might as well use it. I am kinda dumb, I could not follow all of the buildup and fine details of the series, they need to bring the series down to joe sixpack level more like 24-less talky-more dooey.

Apart from HBC, T4 was such a crap movie, so I can understand Fox not seeing much future in TSCC, because they did not use enough of Summer Glau in the later episodes, and became dreary and boring.
Does anyone know what Summer is up to now ?
I’m watching Stargate Universe now. Hopefully Summer will turn up and kick some but in this series.
