It might just be the last episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Word is, Fox is still trying to decide if the show is worth bringing back. From all indications, this is not going to happen, but hey, hope springs eternal. Whether the show returns for a third season or not, Episode 2.22, “Born to Run” will mark the show’s final Season 2 run, and promises to be one hell of a climax. Weaver has an Agenda of its own. Why kill humans when you can control them? Cameron told Ellison to leave after he passed Weaver’s message “Will you join us” Cameron always say “Human resistance” indicating that there is a Machine resistance, and in “Alison from Palmdale” the machine told Alison “Some of us dont want that” So Skynet knows it has enemies amongst its cyborgs. Cameron was sneaking out at night like in “”Self made man” so she had another agenda aside from protecting John.
Maybe the T1000 on the sub was Weaver and she never intended to help Connor or the resitance all along. Perhaps she see John Henry as eventually leading/contoling both Cyborgs and Humas. If they beat Skynet that is.
She backed up in attempt to stop Skynet so John would be traveling to a future with candy and playboy models (hopefully, she failed thou). Like many have said John job is to lead the resistance (if it is needed) its always better to stop the enemy before they are at the gates. Thats why John went sarah stayed. Sure Cam’s chip *might* have had something to do with it but it was not the overriding theme. Try to think of it as a book what was going on in the those characters 7 seconds of thoughts before the time portal….

“As to why Sarah didn’t go with John. I have a theory. I think its because she saw this as his opportunity to embrace his destiny. Her fight is in present day to try and stop SkyNet from becoming. John’s destiny is to lead the people in a fight against SkyNet and defeat it. He may have traveled to the future to get Cameron’s chip back, but he has a greater purpose now.”
Also, I think based on what she knows of what the future holds, it is a place or rather a time she does not want to be in. Basically she told hime “We can’t” because she is afraid of that future. John’s desire to help Cameron blinded him to the realities of what he would face. The future is bleak, desperate, and dangerous. And he tends to jump in with both feet and manages to come out ok in the end.

My review/Interpretation:
*The Myles Eddison (son of the creator of skynet) was involved in the John Henry Hack Attack.
*Jimmy Carter’s Liquid Terminator “Will you join US” reffers to the invitation of John Connor to join the resistance, but sh e refused so she cant be Weaver.
*It was never explained why Weaver was against skynet, but its is very strange that Weaver or john henry sent the question “Will you join us” to Cameron. From this point CAMERON became very strange, like she was planning something I think from this she recognice who John Henry and Weaver really was. An from here she made tghe decision to Join then.
*I dont understand (Can someone explain a theory for me?) Why Sarah backed up from the Bubble and said to John “We can`t John” but let John do the travel without her?
*Cameron Body and the travel machine stayed in the past. Cameron did not go thorught because she hadnt a chip.
*Weaver said John could never win Skynet without John Henry so in The future she will try to get “Jameron” and get back in time.
*Weaver appears for 1 second in the back of Kylie and the others.
*It was goofy that Weaver dressed so quickly.
*The voice of Sarah in the end was was she screamed inmediately when the time travel process was in, but the “I love you too sentence ” has no sense to me.
*Sarah did started to be ill in this episode, maybe thats why she refused to travel with John, she maybe let John travel without her because she trusted in this new “Terminator protector” with him.
*And the liquid thing the was justched to Weavers leg it just was a goofy thing with no meaning, it was just the pet from teh acuarium.
*Theres a lot of others holes in the plot of the ending but I think maybe they just means nothing like the comment of the software/hardware thing of John Henry, maybe IT JUST WERE LITTLE THREADS left fot the wirters to have points from where to write ideas for upcoming episodes of a 3rd season if a renewal were decided eventually.
* From the Point of view of the writers the plot of the ending was written to be the definitive ending of the series, not just the season, they wanted that the non-so analitic fans would think that this ending with young Jonh Connor in the future means that he was just supposed to send his father to impregnate his mother, but as previous comments in this forum it doesnt has sense because Derek meet a 30 years old John, so this proves TIME WAS CHANGED so all events of the series has meaning or purpose. I think in some way, the series had a kind of “Happy ending” with John and his Father, uncle and Human Cameron, but without his mother, who anyway was destined to die from Cancer, so all left for him is to give his knowledge to this resistance fighters and DO the WHOLE thing again from sending his father with his Mother BUT DOING ALL THE CYCLE THIS TIME BETTER TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HIS EXPERIENCES AND THIS TIME HAVING WEAVER AND JOHN HENRY/CAMERON ON HIS SIDE. so this is like the Happy Ending of this Awesome Series.

See: In the jimmy Carter she was already against Skynet and some how John Connor and Cameron were aware of this, But Weaver refused to Join them.
In the “present” weaver invited to Cameron/young John to Join them, Cameron recogniced Weaver.

I just found your long letter. I’ll get back to you with some of your questions. A lot of your comments and questions have to deal with why the writers of the TV-series did certain things within their story. The reason is this: to make you ask questions, and to draw you back in to the next episode.
In my novel, I’m not going to try and answer all of these questions. I still think some things need to be left unexplained, or else all interest can be lost. Something has to be left to the viewers or readers imagination as to why certain things happen. One thing I can settle, time was changed by John traveling to the future. He wasn’t there in the intervening years so he is now in an alternate future time-line where he never existed until that moment he arrived. If he does get back to his own time-line, then the events we know of will or should play out as we know they should for the future.
As to why Sarah didn’t go with John. I have a theory. I think its because she saw this as his opportunity to embrace his destiny. Her fight is in present day to try and stop SkyNet from becoming. John’s destiny is to lead the people in a fight against SkyNet and defeat it. He may have traveled to the future to get Cameron’s chip back, but he has a greater purpose now.
Weaver dressed so quickly, because she is liquid metal. She could just form clothes from her own person. Remember the T-1000 in T2. It traveled naked but formed clothing to blend into its surroundings.
Theory about the liquid metal thing that attached to her leg: I think she kept a part of herself in that tank as a reminder of her time in the ocean after her escape from the sinking sub. Probably her time stuck out in seas made a big impression on her psyche. It could have been the turning point as to why she appears to be working to help John Connor now after first refusing to join him when asked on the sub. Something to think about. I did read, I think it was on Josh Friedman’s blog, that the liquid metal terminator on the sub was the one masquerading as Weaver.
Sarah’s voice being heard saying “I love you too.” Okay a bit of dramatic flare at the end but can be explained by her saying it just before the time bubble disappeared. Why did she wait so long? I don’t know. I do address that in my novel.
The message to Cameron “Will you join us?” Two purposes: 1) Identifies who the message is from. Only a few people know of that message. Cameron, Jessie, Future John, and the liquid metal terminator on the sub. 2) It literally means what it says, “Will you join us?” John Henry has a mission to perform but he can’t do it chained to a computer bank in the basement of Zeira Corp. He needs a chip. Cameron is the only functional terminator they know of that doesn’t have a self-destructing chip. I imagine they would have used the chip from the terminator that tried to assassinate Weaver if it didn’t self destruct. We also know that Cameron has some other mission other than to protect John. We saw her hunt down that terminator with help from the librarian. Was she looking for John Henry not knowing what terminator he would be? Who knows.
Season 2 ended with a lot of questions to be asked. I like that. MY story will answer some but also make you ask new questions. A proper story should. You can find my story REUNION at the two following websites:

Thanks for reading it. Read some of the others too. I was reading some until I started my own. I didn’t want to be influenced so I stopped. I wanted an original story.

Did you notice the intro guy said “The last episode of the season but is it the last episode of the series? and after said “hope we get another season”
Also Virgin replied to my email ..not an automated reply and said “keep an eye on the Virgin website”
Season 2 ended in the UK tonight. It would take another 3 seasons to sort out the mess the scriptwriters made of it. It should have been kept Episodic as Fox wanted. Some of them were just fillers, and could have easily been condensed into 1 or two episodes. The Boxed DVDs gone sale here in September from Amazon. Anyway, well find out soon whether we are to have a season 3 or not in May.
there are just too many things they could do with the series. but this is fox we’re talking about. i can only cross my fingers and hope they don’t pull the plug. you’d think they would have learned a lesson by now.

There are two good stories that have been submitted, and new chapters are being added regularly. The first is “Born to Fight” submitted by River2027. It covers John Connors adventures in the future. The second is “Terminator: The Savannah Chronicles” written by masked-spangler. It details the adventures of Sarah, Ellison, and Savannah in present day. They are both really good. I had started a story but they got me beat. I may post mine later. I’m not as fast as they are at writing.
This show is a great way of escaping the facts of real life for just a fragment of time. I know that time travel and its results is a really brain-boiler paradox and it’ s very difficult to hold this show’s concept as clear as possible. But I need this show. And of course definitely with the existence of Summer Glau as Cameron ( or Allison ) . Thanks.
To andyk: I’ll gladly send you a sneak peak at some of my ideas. I’m getting a little stuck on chapter 2. I’d like to get at least 3 chapters complete before I post chapter 1. That way I can find direction for the story and settle into a good ryhthm before committing myself to something. My chapters tend to be short, but I’m not trying to right a novel. I’ll send you the prologue and get your ideas. I’m not at my own computer right now so I’ll send it later. By the way I’m in America. It’s just after 4PM local time. Glad to know TTSCC has an international fan base. I saved our conversation above about time travel theory in the Terminator Universe. I couldn’t let that get lost.
Trouble with our British shows is we only get a 6 episode run, I loved ‘Being Human’ it gets a feeble 6 shows unlike US drama which gets a proper 22 shows a season, still maybe a spin -off show would be good.

If Fox?WB dont want the show they should had it over to us Brits, either the BBC or ITV to make. At least it will be done right..

I would like to do a comedy thing called ‘The Connors’ nothing like the Simpsons you understand and would like to have a ‘grounds keeper Weaver-bot’ slicing up people as well a a dysfunctional family plus a certain cyborg- if I could be arsed.
Still just another 3 weeks to wait to see about a third season and maybe we will get to see John and Allison!
I can just picture it:
Sarah hears a knock on the door, she opens it, and there stands John. Hugs all around, a few tears, then she asks, “Did you bring back Cameron’s chip?”
“No” he says, “I couldn’t, but I brought someone with me.” And from off to the side steps Allison. “Hello Ms. Connor. John’s told me a lot about you.”
Sarah’s jaw drops, she stumbles a bit, then collects herself and says, “Is, is she metal? or…”
“She’s real mom, and her name is Allison.” John says with a grin.
“I’m pleased to meet you lets go inside.” Sarah then goes inside escorting her son and Allison, then promptly finds the bottle of scotch she has hidden away.
Just a bit of fantasy. Other could write it better. But it would be awesome to see on TV.
Yes the idea of a human and a cyborg allways interested my depraved mind since STTNG Data and Tasha Yar but John and a virtualy endoskeletal Cameron in bed may be odd. If there was a third season Im sure John, Allison and a possible rebuilt Cameron love triangle thing would emerge with much comic and dramatic fun.
Glad to see myself and the1russter are not the last two resistance fighters standing in this forum as the evil Fox cyborgs close in for the Kill.
Hi..I completely agree re the Jameron story line…absolutely thats where I think its been heading all along…and wouldnt it be a “hoot” if he brought her back through from the future…that would throw Sarah..anyway lets hope Fox brings it back or if not a complete series I would settle for a series finale of some sort that tries to tie the ends up…hey I am fed up with all these sad stories…in this time of eco gloom esp here in the UK..wouldnt it be nice to have a happy ending for once…
Well, there are probably fewer people posting on an episode which is now almost two weeks old. More people are probably posting in the forum on whether there will be a new series or not. Frankly, I’ve enjoyed this discussion on the dynamics of time travel within the Terminator franchise. Now as far as the Jameron story goes; Cameron is no more. Even if they get her chip back, her endo-skeleton and synthetic flesh has sustained severe damage. Even John will have to realize that. Now there will be a story featuring John and Alison Young, the woman whom Cameron was built to emulate to infiltrate the resistance. At last, the possibility of a normal relationship between two humans. I would have found the idea of a physical relationship between a human and a cyborg to be interesting, but freaky. Much better he gets to know the real person. Wouldn’t it be interesting if when he came back from the future he brought Allison with him? That would throw Sarah for a loop!
Yes I hadn’t really thought about why only one comes back but several can go forward but your theory makes sense. Again with the ‘rubber band’ theory going back stretches the band(time) using a lot of power, going forward simply needs a little nudge to shoot forward.
The time bubble as far as I know is always the same size so mass must be a factor.
I hope we are not putting other fans off commenting here and hogging the thread.

As far as whether the device used by John and Weaver still being there, I don’t know. When they used the time travel device in the bank vault, the bank blew-up. Of course that may have been due to the fact Sarah fired that gun at the same time, or the presence of a lot of metal, or maybe the device was set to self destruct after being used. Now back to the device in Zeira Corp’s basement. Sarah and Ellison didn’t leave the room when the device was used. Sarah backed up so she was out of the bubble, but stayed in the room. Ellison was standing just inside the door, looking like he didn’t know whether to come in or run. As they didn’t leave, I have to assume the device is still present, whether it still works or not is another matter. Is Cameron’s body stille there, I have to assume yes as she didn’t travel through with Weaver and John. As to your comment on why doesn’t Skynet send hundreds of Terminators through, etc. Well I have to assume that the power requirements would be too high. Also, the fight being put up by John Connor and his resistance army is probably interfering with any large scale plans. Based on my earlier comments that traveling back in time may require more power than traveling forward, Skynet may be only able to transfer one terminator at a time due to their higher mass and density. Whereas the resistance was seen to transfer as many as four humans at the same time. The time travel going forward included two humans and one terminator the first time, and one human and one terminator the second time. I surmised earlier that going forward uses less energy, and perhaps there is more energy available to handle more persons or terminators.
Actually forget all those last ramblings the answer to all is that its just simpler to kill john conner.
Back on the time machine thread, is the device that John and Weaver used still there and is Cameron’s body still there in 2009?
Well there are so many plot holes with the idea of time travel but they have to continue with the idea from the original film as it is now ‘lore’ I recall something about the ‘rubber band theory’ so as you say travelling forward may use less energy and a smaller device.
Why not send hundreds of terminators through.
Why not infiltrate and supplant all the worlds leaders or as Weaver does create a power base and simply run humanity from the background.

You are correct about the rotation of the earth, and there is also its orbit around the sun. Both of which create spatial dynamics in that the earth isn’t in the same position. A lot of the physics is beyond me, probably the writers too, which is why it doesn’t get mentioned. Of course if the time travel technology utilizes a wormhole like I suggested earlier, then the technology would have to set some kind of coordinates for the destination end of the wormhole, both spatially and temporally, which would take into account the movement of the earth. The time travel technology utilized in “present day” L.A. may use a less advanced model which fixes the exit of the wormhole to same physical coordinates, you only get moved forward or back in time. That may require less energy than that which we see used in the future which use huge generators to create the time travel to the past which has always had a spatial displacement as well. Or, it could be that travelling forward in time requires less energy than travelling back in time. Both good points that should be addressed as well.
Yes I guess your right, although I wonder why when you travel forward the movement of the earth’s rotation isn’t taken into account or even the earth’s movement through space..way too complicated probably.
I would assume a human would have come up with the concept and theory of a time machine but only Skynet would have the resources in the future to build one. John would have to capture one for use.
Yes they did end up in the middle of a highway. But when Sarah asked Cameron where are we, Cameron said, “Same place new time.” You could clearly see construction equipment around them and the sign flashing the date in which there would be traffic delays during the month of September 2007. I took that to mean they had moved forward in time with no spatial displacement. If you have another take on it, I’d like to hear it. Cameron explained that the equipment in the bank vault was constructed by an engineer that was sent back in time and got a job working on the bank. It is possible it was the same guy who invented the time machine. It would be nice to see a story line involving the development of time travel. A practical idea as John is now in the future with no means of getting back home.
Sorry to nit-pick but if I remember didn’t the bank vault time jump send them into the middle of a highway? I wonder if it is the infamous ‘engineer’ that was mentioned that may have created the time machine, the writers really wanted to bring this character into the show but never did.
How they figure it out, I don’t know. A machine couldn’t figure it out. It takes a human mind to imagine it and theorize how to make it possible. We saw in a flash-forward with Derek in the Future looking at the device in a season one episode. It looked like approximately eight jet engines used to generate electricity. This huge amount of power was used to create a wormhole through which people could travel. The energy bubble we see is probably a bubble of real-time to protect the traveler from being reduced in age, when traveling back in time, or increased in age, when traveling forward in time. Wormholes have both a spatial and a temporal distortion. It seems the devices in the future can designate not only a place but a time. But the device we’ve seen in use in the bank vault and then in the basement of Zeira Corp, seem to of had only a temporal change as they were in the same place but just a different time. Who invents it and how is something I would like to see in an episode. But remember this is Terminator and not Star Trek, so I don’t imagine a whole lot of gee-whiz and wow detail, just a solid explanation and move the plot along action. Can’t wait to see it though.
am i the only person who really wants to know how the heck they figure out time travel in the first place? that’s one HUGE question that i’ve never seen addressed let alone answered. sure the machines send terminators back but how? i mean time travel can’t be easy to figure out. i’ve wondered if some of the people who were allowed to live in some way are responsible for time travel.
Nah its all about cameron. john loves her and he follows her into the future and the cameron that is stroking the dog is not a cyborg but a real person…remember the episode all about cameron…thats why hes in the future and that was what camerons hidden agenda was all about…?
If we can get back to a discussion about the individual episode, “Born to Run,” when the FBI agent walked into Sarah’s cell and told her he believed her, how many of you thought he was telling the truth? I think he may have been truthful, but I believe Sarah was right in not believing he was telling the truth. What about you?
To everyone who writes to Fox, please be polite. Nothing would hurt our cause more, than for Fox to receive a bunch of stupid hate filled letters. Just tell them how much you like the show, how you want to see another season on Fox, remind them of the tie-in with a major movie franchise. You know, the stuff that should encourage them to make another season. For many it is the only show they watch regularly on FOX so they should mention that too. Without T:TSCC there will be no reason for them to watch Fox.
I hope the show doesn’t get canceled. It poses great questions like “What does it mean to be human?”, “Do humans rely too much on technology?”, and “When will science invent a robot man can F*ck?”. But seriously, the cast is great. Summer Glau is hawt and Lena Headley is the MILFINATOR. You have John Connor for teenage girls and that 90210 guy for your Meagan Fox types. If you really want to support the show then you all should go buy the Blu-ray/DVD of the first season and go see the new movie. That’s the only way to get through to the bean counters. I really can’t see the movie not doing great at the box office. If there is an another season then they should write in some situations where Cameron has to infiltrate a hospital or a rich guy’s house so that we can see her in naughty nurse or french main outfits. I loved Firefly too but didn’t get into it till it was on Sci-Fi channel. I have the complete series and movie on blu-ray. That show was definitely canceled before its time. Oh and Dollhouse can stay too as long as we can see producer Eliza Dusku in that short dress again or in that dominatrix outfit.

I have watched this episode again. Must be the fourth time. It is just great. The ending is so emotional, just like Zentriks, I could nearly cry. The music is marvelous it sets the tone of the whole scene. It would be a tremendous shame if FOX were to drop this. Bring back this show for next season FOX. It is the smart thing to do.

Give us a 3rd season FOX!
What a sensational finale!! The end was spine-tingling!!! TSCC surpassed all my favorite shows this season and I will miss it. It was intelligently written and had a superb cast. It offered viewers a unique show with compelling and intense drama. It was a cut above all other tv action shows in intensity. Most people I knew didn’t know about the show. Now it’s too late to convert any of them. A standing ovation to Josh Friedman and the cast and crew.

It didn’t get a fighting chance like Heroes did with the marathon reruns and previews. Moving it to Friday night caused its demise. It offered viewers a unique show with compelling and intense drama. It was a cut above all other tv action shows in intensity. Most people I knew didn’t know about the show. Now it’s too late to convert any of them. A standing ovation to Josh Friedman and the cast and crew.
Here is I how I try to look at time travel, different time lines and my theories on where a 3rd season would be headed.
Follow the people that know the most about time ie see below
1.) Sarah Fails. Judgment Day happens. We dont know exactly when skynet goes online but have to assume its close to Dereks year of Judgement Day.
2.) John, Weaver, John Henery Merged with Camerons module of cpu, t-888 body, and John Henery’s (the turks) software. There is a small chance that there enough room for both cameron and john henery to fit on the same chip but not sure, we dont have enough info. Its possible part of Cameron now without John realizing is Cameron tranfered herself to the former John Henery Server Farm and thats whats saying sorry John over and over? Doubt it thou.
3.) We know that Derek has altered time because he was with John, as have the main cast.
4.) We know that this younger John Conner isnt who Derek know because in one ep on John BDay he said he partied with him on his 30yrs old. Again time changed.
5.) Sarah, and Ellison can still effect the time that John travels to. Knowing how protective Sarah is of John she might never mention his name again, and thats why know one has heard of him.
6.) This leaves John to not only complete his destiny but recreate it because in essence they have damaged time, the humans dont stand a chance because there has been no John, humanity rises on his shoulders. He now along with Weaver have alot to do to get the plan back into motion to fight Skynet rule the world whatever. John has to send Kyle back in time in order for himself to exist. Now keep in mind this time travel tech isnt always correct as we saw in one ep, and is hard to power/find. I also think John would be very selective on changing history, would not just go crazy send people back in time to do 100’s of things just would be too much. So he must have a honor about time. I would also think at one point the resistance must have had not only the means to send people back but detect when skynet was as well, so they could counter.
If this is the last ep of the series then we could assume that john is very touchy about changing time and tries to just repair it.
If this show was to continue there could be all kinds of things that happen. One of my guesses would be Weaver and John Connor retrieve John Henry with Camerons chip, with Weavers help (tech and she owns the coltan refineries) steal her a body or build one. Copy somehow Cameron from John Henry to new Cameron body. or god forbid a different one which would suck, Summer makes the show. Armed with this knowledge they time travel back to as close to the time they left. From what most scfi shows say as long as you get within a couple month you can get back to “your time.” Of course you can throw tons of twists in there as well like John is the one who actually get her kidnapped by skynet in the future, or skynet sees his relationship with that model and send another that replaces her or again who knows. Just like the preview said the future would be changed forever so the events in the series have to actually change the future. So far all we really know is people dont know Johns Name or recognize him (i dont know kyle might have had a look of recognition on his face for other than his jacket.) Weaver is most likely rogue T1000 but she could still be working for them in the end who knows. We know the factory where Cameron was supposed to be build was destroyed. They changed time in a major way, but seems still not enough to stop judgment day. Probably because John isnt there and thats where we would go is 1st half of Season is getting things back plotting on what to tell people, and get back home.
I know this is a long comment but thats time travel for ya. Story plot lines writers thought up were awesome and delivered perfectly by the cast.
My biggest question is however Why or Why were Camerons Eyes Red and not blue? Since when did she just become a T888 cause thats almost what they made her look like. The whole blue eyes match the hud and show how much further of a model she is.
Its pretty safe to say this show setups for T4 and had that in mind. Because the previews show skynet is capturing humans and coping them or something close. This is easily but the results of this series.

hey yeah i posted this on the other thred, they could bring it back for a 3rd even if its a mini series, 9 eps like season 1. then see how it goes, coz the way it finnished allowed for a complete different angle. at least give it a go dont leave the fans hangin’. FOX im talking to you.!!

This is my first ever post here so I hope I won’t be hated right away for posting this link. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/scoop-fox-set-t.html I absolutely have loved this show from day one, but I fear that all of our wishes may not come true for season three. But just what has been echoed so many times this is typical fox. And no, I didn’t forget to capitalize, they just don’t deserve that respect. Just count how many shows they have aired in the past year that have been canceled. It just goes to show that they are willing to buy a show and its production, but the minute it doesn’t replicate the X-Files numbers….it’s history! That’s what they think they are going to get! Another X-Files. Everytime they buy a show they think they are going to win the lottery twice. If Terminator does indeed get canceled(and maybe Dollhouse too) what are they going to put in its place? Something stupid that they’ll wind up canceling! At least now they have a solid lineup with a dedicated audience. Now I have read on other forums defending fox that’s it’s just business and the ratings weren’t there to justify a third season. I agree that they have a business to run. But they and every network is looking at an antiquated ratings system(Nielson) that I can’t imagine has been semi-accurate since the 1990’s! Back then, DVD sales, internet downloads, DVR numbers etc didn’t come into play. Nowadays they do. So when I look at the ratings which seem to average 3.5 million per episode, that is only looking at the number of people that have a Nielson box hooked up. So in reality the number of viewers has to be at least double that. I’m not sure but is that 1960’s technology? Nothing against the 60’s…we did land on the moon after all. My bottom line is fox sucks! I hope they all choke on a big one. Even though they aren’t funding the new movie I say boycott it. After all it is following the worthless T3 timeline. So let fox take off what decent shows they have left and replace them with mindless drivel like an Ozzy Osbourne reality show!! WTF? I am still keeping my fingers crossed but if we don’t get what we want I am hoping to see the story continue in a graphic novel or comic series. If we can’t watch it at least we could read it. So in conclusion, to hell with fox!!!
Just finished watching the season finale… pure barrels of awesome!!! The storyline has been opened to so much potential. We have John meeting his father for the first time and Derek, who just died, and Cameron, who just terminated herself / itself, although this is the original version. But we have the rogue T-2000, who we know from the Jimmy Carter…
Anyway, the potential is huge for developing the story in conjunction with the film!
This is one of the last remaining sci fi series that is going now (the others being Lost, Heroes, Jericho, Ghost Whisperer, Smallville & Supernatural), and as we just finished BSG and with so many such as Dark Angel, firefly, bionic woman etc being cancelled, there is not much scifi being made. If this gets cancelled, in favour of more mainstream profitable series, it will mean the beginning of the end for the series producers. Plus, this time i will cry
You can will have Cameron as a real person who will be a legit love interest for John. Kyle and Derek are now part of the storyline. None of the earlier Terminators say how old John is. John obviously knew he had to send Kyle back in the original. It explains how he avoids dying on Judgment Day. Sarah will still be working with cyborg Cameron (they will find another chip somehow), John Henry, Ellison, and the new FBI guy. Plus, now they got a transport machine in their time so they can go back and forth.
Great series go 5 seasons. “The Wire”, “BSG”, why not “TSCC”?
The season comes to an end,………….. I should be wanting more but, NO I feel that the “end” has been reached , and why so many extra questions in the last episode?
The series had tried to pace itself to keep all the charactors involved and make the story interesting which, I really enjoyed then, why oh! why did it rush us to that ending ? so many charactors dying so quickly Cameron had shown a “TO THE DEATH” dedication to John then, somehow submitted to leave him in danger.(the conversation between John-Henry and her could have revealed so much about the resolution to the plot) There are SO many strange events happening in such a short time that it gives all the signs of a quick resolution to end the show. (which will probably be explained away like the 3rd film ” It all happened in an alternative time line. “)
No real cliff -hanger so, bye bye….. show canceled is my assumption I can’t see where the story can actually go from there. unless he jump’s back again to save Cameron and find the Skynet/ Terminator creator.The series is called The Sarah Connor Chronicles therefore she has to be in the story !
Best we can hope for is a mini-series to tidy the plot up or a fantastic Terminator 4 film to renew interest in the franchise to force it back.
It has been worth the ride as the series was well written and should have done much better with the viewing public but, poor rating’s = less advertising revenue=canceled.,the harsh reality of the success or failure of TV series.

One paradoxx i cant seem to understand is… If John was unknown to theese people and helped them and became their leader… How can he send back Kyle to protect his mother before he even got pregnant? So he could have sent any1 to be his father?

Ian has the right idea, I think. If you remember in the original “Terminator” movie, Kyle told Sarah that the human race was on the brink of being wiped out. THEN John Conner showed up and taught them how to fight the machines. He organized the human resistance, led the final assault against the machines, and won. The use of the Time Machine was Skynet’s last ditch effort to reverse the outcome, first by trying to eliminate his mother before his birth, then by trying to take out John as a young kid while separated from his institutionalized mother.
Fox cannot cancel this great show!
They have already canceled too many shows , theres nothing left to show on tv.
I surely hope FOX will bring the third season to us. This last episode was such an adrenaline I even dreamed of it!! PLEASE FOX CONTINUE THIS GREAT SHOW!!!!!!!

Why would the Fox web stie have provisions for season 3 if they weren’t going to do it? That ad seems to indicate there will be a third season.

i think weaver was that plane in the last eposoide, and she was using that to set john up to gain trust, how else could she do it , just pop over for tea
This was a great episode. If it does end it ended right.
I do think Mrs Weaver and John Henry were working on John’s side. They had opportunity after opportunity to shank him if they really were Skynet and wanted to win the war. If she was Skynet would she really have saved them from getting blown up by that flying terminator, I think John was suppose to go to the future and that was the key to his survival. It seem like Skynet had infiltrated the past with enough terminators that John would eventually get killed if he stayed. This John Connor has been through so much and is battle tested so that why he is able to lead the resistance. So in turn, the fact that Skynet trying to kill John Connor made him who he is. She he was sent to the future to be the John Connor of Legend.
Time travel is always weird. Is the John Connor that sent his father back to start terminator 1 the same John Connor that just got sent to the future. Is time just repeating itself in a cycle or is time actually changing. How do I know this wasn’t the exact same thing repeating itself over….. i get a head ache thinking about it.

i was looking at scicool.com and they were saying that that the viewing figures were not great and that they did not go up for the final show, however as i like to say they didnt improve but they didnt drop. all we need to find out now is when we will find out
I DVR TSCC and watch it nearly as its recording. I don’t watch much else on TV and certainly nothing at the time of release. I abhor reality TV and avoid them like the plague.
I suspect that with so much left hanging what TSCC is really doing (by not announcing their third season) is giving over to the movie which should tie in to the plots which we just witnessed and then TSCC will pick up where it leaves off. Clever ya?

T:SCC is a fun show but the plot line is a disaster. Regardless of ratings or fan response, FOX won’t continue this series simply because the writers have painted themselves into a corner with the shocking new developments they’ve stuck in just to keep viewers interested week-to-week until the end of the season (series). Add to that the fact that the series disregards entirely the movies after T:2 despite weak claims about an “alternate timeline” in which anything could happen and you’ve come to the same logical conclusion as T:SCC- A dead end.
Open Questions: HELP!
We all know Cromartie later becomes the body for John Henry (”The Turk”)
Remember back to the season finale of Season 1:
Cromartie kills all the SWAT team lead by Ellison.
Ellison and Cromartie come face to face and Cromartie does not “Terminate” Ellsion.
Soon after Ellison starts to work for Weaver and the “Anti” Sky-Net program she is developing.
My Question:
Why would the “bad” terminator Cromartie not kill Ellison if he is helping the “Anti” Sky-Net program?
Is Ellison of some future use to Sky-Net?
Is John Henry really Sky-Net?
Another open Question:
In Season 2 Finale as Cameron and John Henry come face to face for the first time John Henry say “I know you”, Cameron replies “I know you too”
Now remember Season 1 Episode 8:
John Connor hooks Cameron up to the internet to crash a program for Trafic control called ARTIE.
Is it possible that Cameron leaves a piece of her program in the internet?
The same piece of program that later hacks into John Henry?
Is this why John Henry and Cameron “know” each other?
Cameron is an infaltrator Terminator.
Is Cameron really a “bad” Terminator programed not to kill John Connor but to kill John Henry (”The Turk”) then uses the body of John Henry to escape back to the future once her misson is complete?

I hope for a season 3. Its a fun entertaining show. The ending was ok, better than that of other series.
Now John should know that sending people into the past is not the answer. Skynet was not stopped. You can keep going back in time and running the same loop until there’s a success, but then you end up in a position where without skynet a time machine is probably never actually invented, and so John never exists.
I liked this last episode a lot. I think I watched maybe 2-5 episodes before the season finale because I lost interest. Honestly, watching the last episode was not only enough to understand what was going on (minus where Derek went), it was enough to make me want another season.
My DVR messed up in recording the season finale. Thanks to FOX, I was able to watch it full-screen on my 24″ iMac. What a fantastic “brief segue” to the next season opener! Keep it coming!

Our family would like to see this show go on for a few more seasons. So far it’s been solid and there is still plenty of room for character development as well as new characters. The story line maybe interesting with the release of the upcoming movie.
A third season would be welcome and of course a fourth and fifth season easy after the release of the movie. A third season maybe a real challenge!
I am very angry right now.After seeing what I thought to be a seasonal finally of a great TV show ( TSCC ) and going to my lap top to see when the new season will start to my surprize it will not be returning.
I now beleave that me theory is correct Realty Shows are cheep to make and writers if they are used do not have to put their talents to the test.
Just put some non acting actors infront of a camera to act stupid ,make them cry ,laugh at them while they hurt and wala you have a Realty Show .What has happend to the world when somebody tries to do there best at something and the world laughs at them.This is all there is to entertainment (American Idol ).
And 4 times out of 10 winners really last to be anything or really get merried (The Batchlor) And last but not least Ugly Betty .This show if you want to call it that finished Jerhico off.
TSCC is a very great show very great acting and super writing.I made a strong stand when Jerhico was being taken off as you can see it didn’t help maybe this time we can get lucky.
TV networks owe the viewers all viewers the best entertainment so I ask you no I beg you please bring the Terminator with all it’s cast in all it’s glory back for a third season.Reality Shows (Who are you tring to kid ) which are not real at the least are killing great shows like TSCC .Your not fooling us you are forcing us to go cheep while you rake in the big bucks.At least let us have one show we can call our own for 1 hour of 1 night out of every week.That is not to much to ask.
i’m in the uk and haven’t seen the finale, however the thought of no season 3 is devastating. i hope FOX realise that it would be wrong to not continue for another season, with T4 coming out there’ll be nothing but added love for TSCC - FOX surely you’re not going to miss this opportunity???????????
Needless to define this season finale as a phenomenon. In my opinion guys, they ll continue from where T4 Salvation ends and on the niche sci-fi platform afterwards… These dudes have a surprise for us!

i watched the last show and i thought it was great, i think that it leaves enough room for another series, it shows john in the future with kyle and reese able to take over the resistence with there help. this solves the problem of a future john. it also show summer still alive so there is a chance of a relationship with her, it also ties up sarh and ellison the story line is open for another series, fox dont mess this up its huge in Ireland and England, its the best show on tv and it has a loyal following it deserves another season. after all that the question is when will we find out??????????????????

Wow, I really loved the Season 2 final episode. Some great answers and even greater new questions.
Confusing how there is intimacy between John and Cameron. John’s girl is Kate Brewster in T3 and later in the resistance she will stand by his side (Kate Connor is actually in Salvation doing the operaton on the cyborg Marcus). So, where does that leave Cameron? Amazing to see the future with the new characters at the end of season 2. I greatly admire the writers of this show and how they manage to put such a great story in place. Fortunately McG will also direct 3 more Terminator movies. Fox, keep this AWESOME show alive! Perhaps the lot was broken down because the next season takes place in the future.

um wow, that was awsome, i was in aw for ages after the show. but john not beeing the human saviour, different, a t-1000 helping them different again, it makes u think wether it was the same 1000 form jessies flash forward. a 3rd season could work i guess, john hennery vs skynet. not bad, hmm it would be interesting. it cant just end like that, bring back a 3rd.

Next to “Lost” the most gripping show on TV. Actually better “dramatically” than the movie, action is not as good but the small screen is never the same as the big screen. COMPELLING to watch. Hope is comes back.

I must say the middle of this season was a bit dull but the end was fantastic. I think cancelling the show before movie hits would be unwise. The interest generated from the movie would give the 3rd season higher ratings imo.

I love this show. I can’t believe FOX might cancel it! It’s justgetting really good! Even though the end of the episode didn’t follow he timeline, I am sure that they will make it work. They better not cancel it! Everyone follow the directions fro the 4th post form the top or just write a letter but use the same addresses! We can’t let them cancel. Soeone needs to do something!
Glad to see John so happy to see his uncle and father. If Fox goes for another season and I hope they do, it will be interesting to see the show go full circle. It will be quite the show when John gets his father to go back in time to meet his mother so he, John, will be around to fight Sky-Net in the future.

Well in terminator 3 he survived judgement day by being in that bunker when the nukes went off and he started talking over the radio to people (what ever happened to the girl he was with then also?). Darn time travel makes everything so confusing! Please let the series continue. There’s so many good ways the show could go. Imagine John trying to explain things to derek and his father :p
We have to know where john henry went, why he got cameron’s chip, why weaver had to follow him to the future and why sarah apparently knew that she couldn’t go with him. Too many stories yet to be told to end the show.
It’s really getting frustrating investing time into a series that gets cancelled too soon. (firefly and arrested development come immediately to mind!). Now hearing that fringe might be on the chopping block as well as Terminator while the simpsons gets renewed and they put crap shows like dollhouse on makes me wonder what is being smoked in the fox offices. At the very least don’t make summer glau part of 2 fantastic shows that died a much too early death!
Far too much soap in some episode, getting bogged down. I waited all season for Cameraon to kiss John. It nearly happened when he was on top of her naked body, lips so close, his hand inside her chest.
Cameron said she loved him long ago and it was obvious John was really warming to Cameron. If Arnold can say he needs a vacation they why not enjoy the moment when human lips meet Cameron’s pouty red lips?
Now honestly tell me you have no interest in Cameron (Summer) as a sexual object and you’ve got to be a woman, gay, or brain cold. Bring it back as “Terminator, the Cameron Glau Chronicles.” with a few time jumps and paradoxes and I’ll be happy. But all we really need is Summer. Okay, that’s all I need. I admit it. I’m a dirty old man.
I always wanted to see John get inside Cameron. But I had always imagined it would be hot in there.
what I doin’t get is that no one in this thread is concerned about the terminator time line as a whole this series it supposed to be taking place between the events of judgement day and rise of the machines…If john goes to the future (which is never spoken of in the t3)…then terminator 3 would be a time a paradox and makes the entire story not make much sense at all.
Do your part to save the show!! I have, and believe when I say nothing has EVER compelled me to sign petitions of any sort. But I love this show and is doing EVERYTHING to save it!

Amazing episode. I have a few theories about some of the aspects people brought up:
1. Cameron couldn’t come back because the human Cameron was there.
2.John Henry took the chip so that John Connor could use it in the future to program machine Cameron.
3. I think John went ahead to the future to avoid Judgement Day. Cameron mentioned before that he was ahead of schedule in learning what he had to know. Cameron’s entire purpose was to get him ready and lead him to weaver to make the jump.
4. Also, he’s not the one who started the resistance but the one who led the resistance. Meaning he arrived at a time before everyone knew who John Connor was. Derrek and Reese always mentioned fighting alongside John and how close they were to him. Like this, they find John and probably fight alongside him, but all of John’s accumulated knowledge will eventually turn him into the leader of the resistance.

There will be a 3rd seasn……and 4th, 5th, and 6th. FOX knows they have a goldmine here. Thanks to the huge fanbase os shows like LOST. It’s very easy to incorporate the death of a charater into the living episode of that show. KUDOS to the writers on this one. ENJOY THE NEXT 4 YEARS OF TSCC

This has been one if my favorite shows since the first episode. Not every good (or great) show is an instant hit. I think it’s a sleeper. Friday night is a tough slot. I will be praying for a third (fourth, fifth, etc) season! Please Fox - keep it going!

One of the best season finale I’ve ever seen. Great show, surprisingly solid and intelligent storyline. The ending gives so much possibilities for the season 3, opening so much to be answered. It’ll be a shame if there isn’t another season.

Geez when pilot aired it wasnt all that great but it seems like since episode 2 it actually got better. For a while i totally forgot all about it and started watching Season 2 mid way into it and watched the rest from hulu.com

Dont forget Fox’s cancellation of “Nowhere Man” and “Space Above And Beyond”. Two great serieses that Fox cancelled in favor of CRAP. X Files got lucky that it was able to stay on for as long as it did, and end on its own terms. The Simpsons have gotten retaredely crappy and yet Fox has renewed them for another 2 seasons, instead of resigning Futurama, which was acutally funny.
I refuse to watch any show Fox has to offer like 24, Prison Break, or Fringe because I just assumed that as soon as the show got good, they would cancel it. I got into Terminator because of the rumors of the 4th movie at the time and the prestige of the franchise. If they cancel it now, I will never watch anything on Fox again, other than Family Guy.

From a purely marketing perspective it would be ludicrous of Fox to not pickup another season of this after T4 in the summer, I expect the boxsets to increase in sales as people get into the frame of mind again. With the end to this series people will most likely be hooked. It was hard work watching this season for people who don’t really care for the show as there is a lot of storyline and back story to the characters, in otherwords ‘filler’. But if you watch the series all at once instead of mid-season breaks I expect more people to be interested in it.
With the worry of there not being a third season I find it hard to claim this last episode to be the best, i think 2-21 could have been the best this season. Mainly because of the realization of where the ’skynet’ could possibly be, etc. This last episode was more of pitch to Fox of why there should be another season, as I don’t think I have seen a show end a season with so many unanswered questions. I think removing everyone but John from the center of the storyline gives the writers a lot more room, especially as if the actors/actresses do not want to come back.
This looks like the end, John is in the future with out his Mom and he managed to end up with his dad and uncle, so now its back to pre T1 days, John is not in power but now he can take all of his past knowledge of fighting metal and teach his family and soon the whole resistance, send Kyle his father back to make sure he is born. My thoughts are that Cameron had John Henry disable her because she was badly damaged in the jail break and if you noticed she was twitching the whole time in the back seat. She knew that John would not do it based on his emotional attachment to her, I think Weaver was the T1000 that was in the box that the Jimmy Carter picked up, it was obvious that the metal they met meant no harm or they could have wiped them all out if they wanted to. This new “metal resistance” seems to play an important role in the survival of John and the human resistance, if the metal is not on their side they don’t really stand a chance as skynet keeps growing and getting smarter.
At first I questioned Weaver, but now I see that she was there to protect John Connor and see that he makes it to the future, she built the time displacement unit, all that. I think Cameron got left behind because she too badly damaged to ensure John’s safety, she was deactivated to prevent her from going to her default programming which is always to kill John Connor. As she even agreed that deep down she always wants to kill him, if you remember a while back when she was trying to kill him and it showed the view from her eyes, even after she was fixed she looked at John and her programming is saying ” Target John Connor Terminate Terminate” and she kept overriding it as she was staring at him.
As to a prior post, there has been no record of a non organic or just a endoskeleton coming through time, they have all been mint condition cybernetic organisms.
Unfortunately this looks like it was the end of this show, this franchise can never die becasue of the beuty of time travel, you can always go back or forward and totally change the course of history so its never ending.
Cameron must have had feelings for John or why leave the “Im sorry John” message.
John Henry has to have Cameron’s chip in his head or how else will the body work but then how did he do this as the cable would have to be removed to insert it so powering him down!! I’m confused there.
So I guess we have the answer to the teaser posed earlier: that one woman (Sarah) would leave John and another “woman” (Cameron) would betray him. Apparently, Weaver was the T1001 that was aboard the sub, the one who answered “NO,” to the question, “Will you join us?” The question supposedly came from John Conner, but it could have come strictly from Cameron.
Loved the show, last episode answered lots of questions, but also opened a whole new can of worms with the ending. Alot of people here have good theories, but I have a theory of my own that has not been mentioned by anyone.
In that “intimate” scene in the hotel room, Cameron explained how here software and hardware is designed to kill humans, and deep down she wanted to kill John Connor, but never explains why she doesn’t kill him.
Her Chip (as we know of) is re programmed to protect John. That “computer technician” working for Weaver explained that if you change his Wiring he would be “Different”. That John Henry only existed with in his Realm and Information. (Which was in the basement).
Would changing “Chips” change John Henry ? and is John Henry even using the Chip and just holding on to it ? and why would Cameron just hand over the Chip and how did Weaver know she gave it to him ?
Is it because Weaver was the T-1000 on the Carter Submarine ?
When Ellison relayed the “Will you Join Us ?” message to Cameron she got upset and made him leave, but if you remember in that “Submarine” episode John and Cameron were asking the T-1000 to join them.
Weaver was building a program to fight Skynet. Its obvious she blew up that factory to stop more production, but 1 “unmanned flyer” did escape before the explosion, I believe that was the same “flyer” that crashed into the building.
So if Weaver was building a Anti Skynet, is John Henry asking Cameron to join that Resistance as well ?
Or is it Skynet itself asking Cameron to re join them and fight John in the future.
Technically, Cameron still exist because of her Chip. Its all her information on that, Everything she Knows……and Remember, in 1 episode last Season she told that counselor or whatever that her job was to “INFILTRATE” , that she was programmed as an Infiltrator.
Was Cameron a Spy all along ? Altering the future on purpose by changing the past ? making john go back to early ?
OR, did Cameron really Love John ? Cameron is the machine that Tortured and wanted to learn all of Allison Young’s Emotions and why she felt the way she did.
Did Cameron know if John went back Early he would meet Allison ?

Am Surprised the auto-destruct switch for Cameron was never used but at least that means her chip is ok presumably with her and John Henry sharing it for the moment. Would it not be possible to ‘grow’ another Cameron body. I would have thought a future setting would be a lot more expensive to film apart from small clips so they will have to come back in time fairly quickly to reduce cost on production.
The more you say it is cancelled, the more chances you will make it cancelled. It is as simple as that. So stop whinning.

Stephen had it right: only organic material can pass through time. That is why Arnold had to be wrapped in living tissue. Cameron’s head was blasted so much her metal was exposed, negating any passage through time for her. Besides, she had already surrendered her chip so there was no point in sending the body shell alone forward without the microprocessor.
the writers are very clever, they’ve brought the sarah connor chronicles to a point where they are able to dump the title character and re-brand the show, and there won’t be any hurry to do so. FOX don’t need to try to capatilize on the potential success of T4, plus McG has already said that the films will have no relation to the storylines set out in the series.
also the eel is part of the weaver t1000. not sure why she kept it seperate but it maybe the killer part of her that she had to remove in order to appear human.
To Hell the producers who want this to stop. An alternative future without John Connor, a human Cameron, Kyle alive, and a renegade T1000 on the loose.

How did the infiltrator unit not recognize Weaver as a cyborg? The others have been able to identify each other pretty quickly.
Fox has burned me several times in the past. Wonderfalls, Firefly, even Darkangel (though I will admit its second season was a bit too cluttered, and not as good as the first) to name a few. I honestly think I will have to give serious thought to not watching any new shows on fox any more if they drop Terminator and the Dollhouse. I get to attached to stories I like and it is honestly painful when they are cut short by the axe happy producers of fox… I mean look at the following firefly still has. Wonderfall was only allowed to air 4 episodes before it was yanked but I bought the full 13 and have lent it to many friends…. all of which went out and bought their own copy. I can’t keep letting myself get attached to shows on fox if they are going to keep dropping them like this.

Im a mom thats 40 years old, Love my friday night, I loved all of the episode, I watched everyone one of them and then the last one last night and I found out that you might not be bring it back. You left us hanging and I’m so frustrated by this. You got a good thing, its not like all the other episodes on tv now, its a different show. And we all like it. So please really consider picking it up again. Dont just through it away, there are alot of people liking the show.

Loved the final episode. I think TSCC is one of the best shows out in the US and in the UK, it’s a shame FOX do not count consider viewing outside of the states. The last episode did wrap things up but felt a little rushed,I had to watch it twice. The last 15 minutes in particular were exciting but left so many questions unanswered and was slightly convoluted. In particular “the body didn’t go through” reference makes no sense at all, since then Chromatie/John Henry and Cameron would have been annihilated.. Plus how did Cameron time jump in the first place!?! How does any non-organic Terminator make it through!
Anyways I hope FOX see sense and funds a third Season esepecially in the run up to T4.

I love Tscc and it would be a shame if the tv execs decide to ‘terminate’ the show! The characters are really growing and coming into their own. I am eagerly waiting for season 3.

Why are they going to the future? Did John Henry go to the future? If yes, what was Weaver’s comment “the body doesn’t come through?”.
I don’t think anyone knows why they’ve gone into the future. - Something to do with some other cyborg faction fighting Skynet I think. I’m pretty sure John Henry has gone into the future. I think that comment just means that since the body had no chip and so is not powered up or anything, it’s an inanimate object and so it’s not brought through.
I’m also sure that mass that went into Weaver’s leg was her pet eel, which is kinda cool.
Yeah, that was certainly the eel that went back into Weavers leg. As for the future they were sent to, it wasn’t before John Connor sent his father back in time, it was simply that since he left the past and jumped to the future, he wasn’t there to lead the resistance. Someone else is in charge.
Season 3 could add so much to the series. The intimate moment at the hotel confirms there obviously is SOMETHING there between Cameron and John.
Personally, and I mean this with all my Heart. Fox has cancelled several shows that fans loved.
Family Guy got canceled only to be brought back by the fans. Cartoon Network picked it up and the DVD sells went through the roof. Thus, Fox brought it back.
They Canceled FireFly. People complained and all the fans went crazy. We got a movie.
TTSCC is no different. If the fans come together and speak loud and clear they WILL extend the show. If nothing else they will give us a chance by giving us a few episodes to Season 3 just to see how it takes. After all, they have a Terminator based show and now a Terminator movie coming out. It doesn’t make wise business sense to cancel the show when they could capitalize on the film. Personally, I think if people really want to save the show, get a website up, start petitions and do something. Firefly fans were the best at this and got their movie. So, if you really are a die hard Terminator TSCC like me, show some support. Lets get together and tell Fox what we want as viewers. WE decided what ratings they get. Lets remind them of that.
Not to mention, to end the show on that note is cruel. I will never get into another series on the Fox network again under its present programming staff if it does not return. I’m also pull my stock from the company. I’m pissed.
I loved this episode. I believe that John just got to the time where they actually find him. He did not created the rebellion, if you remember the first movie when Kyle is telling Sarah that John came all of a sudden from “among the ruins” or something like that and he was teaching the rebellion how to fight. Maybe he is not famouse becaus he did not create the rebellion (although it seems like it was created by family ) but later on becomes the leader. As for Cameron… I dont know what happened there but I really liked her alot. How you can keep going with a show that got half the characters in the past and half in the future? well you switch the scenes every now and then with a subtitles that tells you the date at the bottom. It is a bit hard but with proper directing and writing it can be done. Even if it doesnt work to well with the 3rd movie that the show kinda canceled, it can be connected to the first 2 movies. And in the future, Alison Young (Cameron) is probably going to be John’s girl till she is getting captured by the cyborg Cameron who steals her ID then being captured herslef and kinda become john’s girl again - yeah the guy loved the human and as it seemed Cameron was to well familiar with all kind of “activities” with John such as talking and laying in bed and “put your knee here” and all kinds of things. So maybe in a R-17 way they even had sex (yeah John and Cameron) just that the past John was not ready to understand it at all. She did say that she love him at the beginning of season 2…
So anyways, I believe that they can brng the show to a 3rd season because there are so many things to do with it that if we as fans can think of stuff I bet the writers can think of much more.
Hopefully someone over there at FOX actually reading this whole page and fan comments and will think about it.
I know I would love to see a 3rd season. Even if they change the name a bit to make it only about the future John - “Terminator: John Connor Chronicles”, or just “Terminator: Chronicles”.
Well I am going to catch some sleep and think about it some more incase I actually missed something.

The season finale kicked ass. I really found it strange how the all the terminators behaved more “human” around the same time. They altered the future in some way to where the machines “joined” them. I really hope there is a season 3.
Alright, I have grown to love this show from start to finish, now I hope they return for a season 3 to answer for some loose ends, but if they don’t ..then I at least appreciate how they ended the series to an extent.
As far as the little thing that slivered into Weaver’s leg, I’m pretty sure that was that deadly fish she kept in her fish tank…they referenced to it in about 2 episodes this season.
John to the future, not necessarily negating everything…he was simply sent to a part in time before his father, or uncle were sent back to save or protect him…
as far as the unanswered that they I wish they could explore a little more for my own curiosity’s sake (unless they’re leaving the loose ends as a means to carry us over to the 4th Terminator installment this Summer) are as follows…
give me a little more about Skynet and this anti:Skynet faction of terminators…what’s their story? where are they going? or do I really have to wait to get to the movies? As much as I’ve enjoyed watching John finally “MAN UP” and quit being the whiny teen….I’d like to see the progression a bit more into the guy that’s supposed to lead a rebellion…
if this series (ending after 2 seasons) was a drawn up plan to get us excited for the movie…then GREAT…I read somewhere that the Sara Connor herself from the series will lend her voice to the movie…I think as part of some opening credits or something…perhaps a brief narration in the start of the film…but the downside is, the character I grew to love…are now no more (please bring ‘em back for a 3rd season WITH CAMERON!) hahah

Can someone explain what Cameron did? Did she exchange bodies with John Henry or are both programs now residing in one chip that’s inside the Cromartie body? If she didn’t exchange bodies, why is the Turk saying “I’M SORRY JOHN” - for leaving John?
Why are they going to the future? Did John Henry go to the future? If yes, what was Weaver’s comment “the body doesn’t come through?”.
And finally, what was that Sarah Connor’s voice thingie at the end? Did she just send the sound to the future?
As for the end of the season/series question - since the show is called TSCC the future episodes will have to be just Sarah Connor. Not sure how much they can write about one person.
And FOX, please don’t kill the show!! I watched 90% of the episodes in Hulu. Hopefully FOX counts those too.
Has anyone consider that TSCC was just a big and expensive publicity for the T4? I don’t know much about how the TV and movie licenses would work but I want to believe that somehow some of the questions might be answered by the movie.
If that is the case Fox never had the intention to continue the TSCC after the movie. Which is a BIG WTF. In any case love the show hope some how it comes back.
I will give up on watching anything from FOX if they don’t bring back TSCC! The final for the season was awesome. To answer one viewer’s question about who Derek’s brother was, “Who was that dude at the end;” it was John’s father. But it looks like John going to the future has changed the past and future and he no longer will be a leader. Sarach will die from cancer; she knows this from visiting the future herself. It’s over guys; that is what this episode was all about. Cameron from the future was human, thus the need to pet a dog. The terminator Cameron got so badly beat up that she reverted to her natural state and joined John Henry. So what is the point in looking for John Henry? I would say the only people who need to be sought in the present time is whoever installed the “Turk.” That was some pretty awesome spy work to get away with there and if they brought it back they would have to explain that. It made no sense that Weaver stood for the human race when she killed so many of them. That was trying to manipulate us a bit too much. I don’t buy it. How can they bring back a show whose name is Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles when we have Sarah in present time and John in the future? Sarah without John or Cameron would not be that interesting. They cannot weave both present and future together in one show; that would take two. So maybe Fox is bringing back Terminator, just not the Sarah one. I loved the series; and Fox if you are listening, you suck if you don’t bring it back and I won’t buy into any of your programming. You have competition and they will get my viewing time.

Tom, did you notice they didn’t know who John Connor was? Connor never existed, someone else began the Resistance, so the events you describe would not have happened the way the do in John Connor’s version of the future.

Actually, they do, and I’m one of them. There’s a Fox special panel that Fox interviews concerning shows, mostly the new ones. Unfortunately, I’ve not heard, nor have I been asked, to do anything with T: SCC to this point. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I know every time I’ve gone onto the Project site, I’ve tried making a decent plug to keep Terminator alive. When they moved it to the Friday slot, I let them know my mind on this death space they shoehorned the show into, and I’ll try to comment over the next few days and weeks to keep the show moving… if my say actually means anything. I honestly think Fox is trying to reach out and find out the truth, because they’ve lost a LOT of viewers over things like Firefly, and I think they’re finally catching onto that.
blake - Though it stays on course from T2, supposedly ignoring T3, it still references a LOT that happens in T3, almost as a parallel, which I think makes it all that much better.
Finally, regardless of the stalwart fanbase extant in our world of Terminator fans, casual to fanboi, it is a small base, and I honestly am not certain it will grow that much larger through T4, especially since T4 is now a kiddy film with the PG-13 rating. I, of all people in this whole universe, hate to say this, but much like my other beloved pastime, BattleTech, maybe it’s time for the franchise to be done.
If there’s no third season, I will live with it, though it’s certainly not going to be easy.
Derek is back! And so is Kyle! I’ve missed Jonathan Jackson since they replaced him as Lucky on General Hospital. I didn’t think it could be any better, but it did! Bring on Season 3!!!!
JJ you have to remember this takes place on an alternate timeline, after the events of T2 but it doesn’t stay the course of the storyline the T3 or Salvation has laid out.
Some sites say the show is already canceled, some say the decision will be made in May, while others say it’ll be a couple of weeks for DVR results to be calculated. Of course the ratings are going to go down when put on Fridays, but it’s the equivalent to the ratings it was getting on Mondays. Count in DVRs and you bump up the ratings by at least 30%. People want to watch the show, but they also want to go out on the town. Fox has to realize this, even if they get another show in that timeslot (No I’m not talking about Prison Break, only 5 episodes left) what guarantee is there that it’ll do any better. I read that the sets had been destroyed, but after this episode it looks like they are going to need new ones in any case if they decide to continue. They have a solid fanbase whether they realize it or not, its up to them to take advantage of it, as well as to take advantage of new fans with the Terminator Salvation coming up in less than two months. Be smart fox, think more than five minutes ahead.
FOX sucks, the show had low ratings but it had lots of arround the world. The show left some doors opened, but as it ended, there’s no way they can put a good storyline for a third season without spoling with salvation. Unless, the next season is about sarah trying to find john henry….
One of the reasons of the end of TSCC is a “apparently” a low ratings in the audience… but what about us (aka the fans, the audience) around the world?. I thinks FOX executives are guided by a guy who is more blind than Stevie Wonder! they can’t see the armys of thousands of TSCC fans around the globe, waiting every friday to see it!

This tv show has surpassed Heroes in entertainment value and should be brought back for another season. There was a marathon of Heroes reruns so that the audience could catch up, why not do that to this show and capitalize on the buzz the new Terminator movie will create? I don’t see why Heroes was given another chance and not this tv show. It’s extrememely well acted and the action and drama suck you right in. I love how it explores what it is to be human and the acting is superb. The writers deserve accolades for this show. Fox, just give it another chance! So many badly acted and written shows out there this is a keeper.

What tom brady said makes sense to me. That John was sent forward at to early of time or maby its the correct time and he just has to build and shape the future. But he already knows alot of information about what he does what happens and who he send back. Time travel sucks. Hummmmmm. Fox you better continue with this show.
Well John sends Kyle back anyways so he can impregnate Sarah. And yeah the thing that goes into Weaver is just her eel from the tank.
But yeah it leaves a lot of questions to be answered…
1. Did Cameron give her chip to John Henry because she was too badly damaged or is there another deeper reason?
2. Is the whole legacy surrounding John Connor now disappeared or has he just warped himself into the battle and now is his time to rally together the human race and lead?
3. What happens with Sarah and Ellisson? Does Sarah die from the cancer and never see John again or did Cameron succeed in jumping past her death and evading the cancer.
4. Is Weavers intentions good or bad?
5. WILL THERE BE ANOTHER SEASON???? please let there be@!!
One of the best shows on tv period. Amazing writing and direction. FOX do something smart for a change and bring back this show for a third season. It’s brilliant. And with the Terminator Fever soon to sweep the world with the release of the Terminator Salvation movie- the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Old and new fans will be clamoring this year for more terminator stories. Renew the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, this really SHOULD keep going! I have to agree with the ardor some feel towards Fox for canceling some of the greatest shows ever put on television, and in particular T: SCC. It would be a real shame, and I think it should be dealt with in a class action suit, for Fox to kill this show without bringing it to a satisfactory conclusion. Unfortunately, the only guys who would actually get sued are the ones who write, direct, and produce the show, and not Fox, because Fox only decides what comes off and what stays on.
Now, I DO agree that, with Terminator 4 coming out -and despite the PG-13 rating and McGs direction {which, in truth, appears to be solid}-, this would be prime reason to bring Season 3. The problem I have with that reasoning is that the writers seem to have gone 180-degrees away from what’s supposed to happen unless, of course, John Connor is supposed to deal with John/Cameron and then go back to 2009, which would require an entire season in and of itself to finish.
Now, at the very end, flashes of electricity for a time-globe pop out and Sarah’s voice says, “I love you, too”. That’s the part I’m extremely curious about, and I have far more questions than I do answers, at this point.
Please, Fox, bring it back? Thank you.

Is that the “Human” Cameron at the end, the one that was totured during an episode a while back? Prob the REAL love interest of John, and why he felt he needed to send the Terminator Cameron, and his special attachment to her.

Explained so much in the last episode, and even made since to how John Connor trust having metal around while most humans don’t understand why. This could really keep going.
The best TV shows are those that leave you wanting more. This show does exactly that and more.
Ummm… I think the material that “incorporated itself into Weaver” was just the Eels in her tank that exploded during the crash. I don’t think it came from the Hunter/Killer.
Anyways… what a great episode. I hope they do pick up Season 3… but, seriously, where do they go from here? I mean, the whole series has been flipped on it’s ass.
Just about all the episodes in both seasons were great, with this one topping it all. One of the thing that I really like about this show, besides having two very pretty Cyborg ladies, is it explores the side where when allowed to learn, the machines (individual cyborgs) learn to appreciate the value of human lives, and this is exactly what ‘cameron’ is becoming. Like ‘Uncle Bob’, Cameron has novalize the terminators.
I HOPE FOX CONTINUES WITH SEASON 3, FOR IT WOULD BE A SHAME AND A BORING ‘FRIDAY NIGHT’.
Well now that TSCC is OVER, I would just like to thank the writers for settling the questions I had about Cameron. She is, after all, “Just a machine” just a very sophisticated automaton, not capable of exceeding her programming or becoming more of a person. A person who just happens to reside in a machine. Turning the time loop back into itself is interesting, but since all the rest will now be just left to you to speculate about, I, for one, feel cheated. Mostly though, WHY does Cameron do what she does, turning over her chip to John Henry. And what is John Henry when he downloads to a triple 8 chip? They had just said that any disturbance in the matrix of hardware that comprises John Henry, no matter how carefully duplicated, makes John Henry someone else, not the John Henry that Weaver is building. Where does all of this go…Silence. There will be no more TSCC to answer these convuluted lines of plot that are left dangling. John Henry got the chip extracted from the Terminator sent for him. What did the programming in it do to John Henry…Silence. Cameron has just said that her fundamental matrix is such that killing is what she is at the core, no software can change that. Now John Henry has transferred to this framework, what does that mean…Silence. What was the effect of the T1000 material that incorporated itself into Weaver, was it some part of Weaver that rejoined her, or an invasive implant sent to alter her…Silence. The question to the T1000 on the Jimmy Carter was “Will you join us?” The answer was “No”. The message to Cameron from Weaver and John Henry was “Join us”. Her answer was to literally give herself to John Henry. What does that mean…Silence. Personally, I choose to think that Cameron is a Terminator. When she sees what she recognizes as Skynet, she doesn’t need to join what she already is, she obeys her programming and does whatever Skynet needs at whatever cost, she is “just a machine”. When Weaver is invaded by T1000 material sent from Skynet, she is, in effect, reprogrammed to send a too young John Connor to a not yet formed rebellion, a known enemy, with known peers, thus all easy targets to be destroyed when they have aggregated to some point below being a serious threat, but can be eliminated as a unit altogether and at once. John Henry incorporated into a triple 8 chip, is a murderous machine with heart of pure homicide. Skynet wins. The world burns. But is that where it was going…Silence. Seriously FOX, I am to the point of refusing to invest my time in watching serialized TV shows that just get dropped leaving me hanging. I really feel cheated of any real resolution to the story I have invested my time in getting involved in. I enjoyed what I saw, but am sufficiently frustrated now, that if I got a do over, I just would have skipped it.
The T-1000 material that join her was the moray eel in her aquarium and part of her all along (just a pet). I don’t think that argument holds water.
Cameron choose to ‘join us’ by giving over her chip, because she knew John would follow her into the future where she is human and they can be together again.
The guy he meets at the end is his father Kyle Reese who shouldn’t be alive, but in a future that doesn’t know who John Conner is, apparently he is alive.
As for Weaver, she not only could have killed the Conners at any time she was in the same room with them, she saved them from the flying drone which was certainly trying to kill them. I’d say she (for whatever reason) was indeed trying to stop Skynet.
You are correct though, there are a lot of loose ends and an unfortunate way to end the season. A very good show deserves better.

And the bit about not confusing the fans with separate timelines was totally stupid. Seriously Fox, we’re fans of a Time traveling, Time Changing storyline, whether movies or TV, the whole concept is altering time, so technically any timeline can be altered at will anyways. Derick and Jessie were lovers, and yet even though they had history, they were from different futures, she from one where Charlie Fisher tortured Derrik and Derrik from a future where that didn’t happen!
Finally, I agree that if they were not absolutely sure they were gonna make Season 3, they should not have given us so many unanswered questions in the finale. At this point I am done with FOX and the movie franchise. I was willing to tolerate the movies for the sake of the show, but no longer, the last 2 movies were lame. (T3 was so lame that the TV show had to jump 8 years to avoid the entire movie!)
Side note: It was suggested somewhere that if we convince FOX that there are enough of us interested, we might help fund season 3 by buying pre-order copies of the DVD set, or maybe even selling digital downloads of the shows the night before they air…just a thought

Someone needs to start an online petition and a mailing list. This show and Dollhouse are the only two shows I watch every week. I take two hours out of my week just for them. Plus the last episode was way too trippy not to explain!
I guess I posted in the wrong forum. I posted on the Season 2 Guide when I should have posted here. Awesome episode. They left enough loose ends to pick up a new series. They stitched up enough loosed ends to end it here. They can easily make a new series balancing a storyline of John Connors future fight with SkyNet, against Sarah’s and Ellison’s present day fight against Skynet. And they may have a new recruit in that FBI agent who seemed to come around to believe Sarah. The future of this series is up to us to demand it. I hope the ratings will be boosted for this week compared to previous weeks. Networks don’t do anything without ratings.
This is the best show on television! If they cancel this show I will never watch Fox again.
I have been looking for any feedback from fox about the 3rd season and not really turning up anything yet but I will keep looking. I like the show, in fact I have never missed an episode, and from what I saw from this last episode I think they tried to wrap up as many loose ends as they could just in case it is the final one. However, on that note they could bring it back there are still lose ends!! I have seen Fox cancel so many good shows over the years that I hate to think what will happen to this one. I have hope that with the 4th movie coming out in May that Fox will see the prospects in a 3rd season. Good Luck TSCC I will be looking for you this fall.
I’m a si-fi guy, I look forward each week to see the show. There is no other showes like t on tv now. Iwould like to see john,sarra and camern brought together again some how, and start a new season again. When your not another nockoff, you will have people watch.

Amazing episode, just finished watching it here in the US EST time. I wont mention any spoilers as of yet, lets just say i want this show to return for another season. I am a die hard terminator fan and this show is simply brilliant, to not bring it back would be a shame.

Seriously Fox, we’re fans of a Time traveling, Time Changing storyline, whether movies or TV, the whole concept is altering time, so technically any timeline can be altered at will anyways. Derick and Jessie were lovers, and yet even though they had history, they were from different futures, she from one where Charlie Fisher tortured Derrik and Derrik from a future where that didn’t happen!
Finally, I agree that if they were not absolutely sure they were gonna make Season 3, they should not have given us so many unanswered questions in the finale. At this point I am done with FOX and the movie franchise. I was willing to tolerate the movies for the sake of the show, but no longer, the last 2 movies were lame. (T3 was so lame that the TV show had to jump 8 years to avoid the entire movie!)
Side note: It was suggested somewhere that if we convince FOX that there are enough of us interested, we might help fund season 3 by buying pre-order copies of the DVD set, or maybe even selling digital downloads of the shows the night before they air…just a thought
