McG says he’s directing “Terminator 5″ and “6″. Or at least, he says he is. IGN reports: During the live commentary for the movie over the weekend (that was available to those how had bought the film on Blu-ray) he said that - no matter which studio inherits the series...

Sarah Connor Chronicles Episode Review: 1.09 What He Beheld (Season 1 Finale)

If Episode 9, “What He Beheld” was not originally meant as the Season 1 finale, then it was one hell of a replacement. It makes for a great progression on nearly every storyline that has been introduced in the show so far, including FBI Agent Ellison’s growing awareness of Skynet, Brian Austin Green’s growth as Derek Reese (Beverly Hills 90210 what?), and young John Connor’s gradual acceptance of the man he will someday become. And yes, we learn a thing or two about Sarah Connor as well; for instance, despite her toughness, has she ever actually killed anyone?

All those questions, and more, are answered in “What he Beheld”, the final episode of a shortened T:SCC Seaon 1. And yes, there are some new questions, and new characters, but not all of them lasts for the entire episode. In fact, by the end of “What he Beheld”, we have seen the face of a new villain, and this one likes to take matters into his own hands — personally, as Cameron finds out in the episode’s cliffhanger.

The episode features a fantastic, understated performance from Brian Austin Green, who is quickly becoming Derek Reese. Beverly Hills 90210 was a show that I barely watched, but knew about, and Green was as heavily associated with it as Luke Perry or Jason Priestley. But with T:SCC, Green has escaped from Beverly Hills, and embodies Derek Reese, scarred resistance fighter from the future so fully that I now have no trouble seeing him as this character, in particular during a quiet moment when Derek takes John Connor to a park. Simply outstanding work by Green here, and not bad from Thomas Dekker, either.

Although much of the episodes is devoted to the Connor brood as they attempt to retrieve the Turk from a mysterious seller (not all that interesting, actually), the episode’s stand-out is a 5-minute sequence toward the end, set at a motel where the Terminator Cromartie is currently residing. Ellison, after making a couple of stunning discoveries, arrives with a small army of FBI commandos to take down the faux FBI agent. Brilliantly executed to the sounds of Johnny Cash’s “The Man Comes Around” (one of the all-time greatest songs, without a doubt), the sequence explodes in a sea of violence and blood and death — and you don’t even see 99% of it, with a major portion of the sequence shot from the bottom of the motel pool, as an endless tide of FBI commandos plummet into, dead before they even hit the water.

And now, the face of the show’s new villain, one Margos Sarkissian:

Notable moments from the episode:

The (temp) bad guy…we hardly knew ye…

Agent Ellison is starting to see the light…

Kyle Reese was always good at cracking heads, even as a kid…

There goes the motel security deposit…

This is definitely no way to make friends…

The cliffhanger… (Got insurance?)

Very nice pictures.I am very much interested in those pictures. Can i get some more pictures of such celebreteis.

I believe @ the beginning of this new episode you’ll see the endo skeleton of Cameron. She’s not as beautiful and innocent as she looks after she run down Sarkissian and terminate him. Of course she’s not heavily damaged, just her soft exo skin tissue,I think Charlie will be back to help fix Cameron skin, haha. Please feedback, Thanks.

We’ve just posted a super-sized review of TSCC Episode 9 and you hit the nail on the head: This episode will echo in Terminator eternity. Outstanding visuals, more fly-on-the-wall to witness Terminator Lore galore in this episode. Great stuff.

When wie can await sieason 2??

what happens to camren after the explosion in the final episode will there be a second series??????

It’s great! I think Cameron as a super learning cibernetic organism, since this very first season she (it?) is trying to learn in some way a sort of “feelings”, or at least, trying to understand human feelings, just as Arnold did in Terminator 2 with John’s crying. In fact, it’s possible because they let you know through Vick’s chip that they can have that kind of behavior, even being capables to have sexual intercourse with humans. So, we can only wait the second season to see how Cameron rebuilds entirely her human-like body after the explosion… Will she have to make all those procedures and need a skin culture and a plastic surgeon to make it succesfully?

i was wondering the same CERQ! its highly unlikley that cameron will have suffered much if any damage to her endoskeleton! even a model 101 as seen in the first film only suffered a damaged leg! and he (or it! whatever you call them) walked away from an exploding fuel tanker not just a small car bomb!, my guess would be that the bio flesh used to cover the terminators as some kind of fast self regenerative capability! cos i aint never seen a terminator with a scar!! its probley geneticly engineered that way! also if you remember in one of the episodes cameron saved the flesh from that terminator she burned!.
im guessing she will be using that!!.

i think cameron is sexy and it would be interested if she would fell in love with john…dont you…

yea just abit shes defo fit m8

I’m sure she’ll be back however she obviously dies at some point in the series, we don’t see her In the T3 movie, and the series is supposed to take place between T2 and T3
