McG says he’s directing “Terminator 5″ and “6″. Or at least, he says he is. IGN reports: During the live commentary for the movie over the weekend (that was available to those how had bought the film on Blu-ray) he said that - no matter which studio inherits the series...

Okay, so now this is the last episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles of 2008, before the show goes on Winter break and returns in February of 2009 with all-new episodes to conclude it’s Season 2 run. No word yet if the show will return for a third season, but one can only hope that FOX moving the show to Fridays isn’t a bad omen. In Episode 13, “Earthlings Welcome Here”, the official description promises more three-dot wackiness, while Riley and Jesse’s plans for Cameron seems to come to a head. Hopefully, because let’s face it, aren’t we all kind of ready for something to happen with Riley, for good or bad? Meanwhile, Ellison teaches God to a machine. Good luck, chief!

Official Description:

Sarah’s obsession with the three dots intensifies when she tracks down a blogger with a intimate knowledge of the symbol, and she ends up finding something she never expected. Meanwhile; Riley gets closer to John and faces off with Cameron.

both riley and jesse bug me a little but ill get over it
when cromartie said “am i a god’s child” i shivered

…and also i want more cameron i0

me too

Hi, if you like to see more cameron you should rent or buy
the TV series of Firefly and the movie Serenity, it is one of
the best.
I watch them over and over again.
If you are under 18 do not watch Serenity, very sad……

I am little shocked they killed of Riley like that…things really got messed up in tonight’s episode…

Okay for those who did not see the preview for part two of season 2. Do not read this comment. I am going to keep this short. I did not really like this episode it was underwhelming. I did not like the transsexual there is no doubt left that Riley is from the future. I was shocked she slashed herself. I do not however think she is dead. That sure as hell was no UFO. That was an air H. K. I saw that coming. I did like seeing John Henry/Cromarte and Ellison and Sarah killed her first person tonight. Overall this was not so great episode. I would have thought they would do better for a Fall Finally.

Ok as for the preview. Okay I am going to ask this once for those who saw it. WHAT THE HELL IS KYLE REESE YES I SAID KYLE REESE DOING IN 2008. I saw him in tonight’s episode but assumed it was just Sarah seeing things. What the Hell is going on? Any ideas?

Frankly I thought the writers could have done a better job in tightening up the story line. It seemed to take so long to get to the climax for Sarah’s story line. When it comes to the John-Cameron-Riley story line I found it compelling with the flashbacks showing Riley’s background. It lends credence as to why she felt she had to commit suicide, though you notice she didn’t wait until she was alone somewhere, she did it where help could get to her. There wasn’t enough blood for her to have died. I’m sure when the program comes back in February we will see her and she will probably reveal her true background to John. If that should happen I would think John would soon start showing more of the independence of controlling his own destiny rather than the “life sucks because I’m a teenager” mentality. With three women (all be it one a machine) controlling or influencing his life, I could definitely see him rebelling in the form of manning up and taking on the leadership role he is destined to have. If the clips are anything to go by, I can see how the writers might have Sarah come to realize that maybe they shouldn’t have jumped so far forward in time if SkyNet is all ready established in their current time frame.

not much cameron… but i sorta felt sorry for riley and the transexual suprised me a bit

OMG WHEN IS THE SHOW SUPPOSED TO RE RUN. I JUST WATCHED IT BUT ACCIDENTALY DELETED IT FROM THE DVR BEFORE MY HUSBAND COULD WATCH IT!!

if u live in the us u can go to fox.com and watch the episode online

right i know i can go online. but hubby wants to know if it’s going to be on the tv again soon. so he can watch it in his “hd”

hmm not much to say about that one really. i was hopin that cameron would rip riley apart thow oh well.

After the disgraceful attempt of an episode that was Alpine Fields, this one was a welcome change of pace. It was interesting to follow, even watched it twice.

Sarah’s instincts never lie, she really hit the jackpot it seems, because that thing at the end looked like a Hunter-Killer. I wonder if it’s linked in some way with Weaver’s Zeira Corp. And if not then who the hell built?.

Riley’s past also got revealed at last, it took them long enough. I don’t like the character much, nor Leven Rambin’s poor acting skills, but I felt sorry for Riley. If he finds out the whole truth then John’s going sit down and have a chat with Jesse, might not be a friendly chat either. Not that she doesn’t deserve it a ‘correction’ (from what we’ve seen of her so far at least). We’ll see in February what happens next. I just hope the overarching storyline starts to fall into place. And no more filler episodes please!

I agree with fastpunk.

I don’t mind Riley but Jessie annoys me. This episode was a better way to end the 2008 episodes, than Alpine Fields would have been.

just watch it online at fox

Jesse’s relationship to Riley is like the realationship of a pimp to his prostitute:She uses verbal persuasion and even physical closeness as long as it works, but falls back on violence and intimidation when she feels it is necessary. I agree that Riley’s ’suicide’ looks more like a call for help than a serious attempt to end her own life. She’s less like a soldier from the future than a girl trapped in an abusive relationship. And Cameron is once again showing her capacity for much more convincing humanlike behavior. Her remarks about the drinks showed a talent for irony and even a hint of subtle humor, while her questions about Riley’s tattoo were a clever subterfuge to check for physiological signs of lying. I’m surprised that John is acting so much like a typical teenager in his defense of Riley. He knows about his role in the future and has been exposed to enough real danger-even having to kill-that he should be more suspicious.

i hope in next season will be more Cameron….damn i like her!!!

i agree peros, she’s the only reason im watchin at the moment.haha nar, but the previews for next year looks good, i just hope it is..

This episode had the double job of resolving several key series 2 subplots, aswell as leaving a few cliffhangers to keep us talking until Feb.
What is definite is that Riley is from the future, and it was good to finally see that character in that context. While it’s not likely that she’s going to die, it’s set up for a showdown where she has to tell John what’s going on - or maybe she’ll try and lie her way out of it. Either way we’re into a new stage of Riley.
I don’t know if that’s the end of the three dots subplot - now that Sarah’s seen the aircraft. I’m kind of hoping that that’s it for the 3 dots, unless there’s something really interesting waiting. Where they’ve left Sarah is really precarious - though apparently someone on a forum reckons that she manages to get back to her car, and that there aren’t other people around. Either way this 3 dots story has taken her to this remote warehouse, which will of course be fodder for the back 9 episodes.
Personally I hope that Kyle doesn’t come back. It’s so much part of Terminator folklore that Kyle came back, fathered John and died. If it is Kyle, he’s coming from a different timeline, so hasn’t met Sarah. There’s speculation that maybe they won’t hit it off this time.
I think just the one Reece is ok - Derek. If Kyle comes back, why don’t they send back some of John’s children as well, and we can have a situation where all the family is together and Kyle’s grandchild is the same age as him!!!

Hands up all folks getting bored with Sarah Connor and the three dots storyline being dragged on for 3 episodes.

How come the ‘TURK’ is never mentioned again. We see them living out mundane lives, going shopping, a burglary, seeing a family physiotherapist.

How about finding the computer that nukes half the world and hunts the remaining survivors down.

Ok first of all the whole left wing transexual thing is getting obvious. Hollywood obviously has an agenda. Second of all I can’t wait to see Connor chew out his uncles girlfriend for what she has done with Riley. Third of all how did they manage to get the Skynet ships operational when Skynet is not officially online? it must only be manual control and a terminator from the future must have been behind it, but is it the one building the AI? I want to see more future terminator clips and I can’t wait for the movie next year. I’d Die for John Connor !!! Terminator Rules !!

~DC~

after I saw the chapter, a little doubt appears on my understanding. about Riley and Jesse… why Jesse sent Riley to keep John away from Cameron? Why the interest of Cameron to tell John who she really is (the star tatoo on her arm maybe mean something) and why Jesse are after John, Sarah, Derek and Cameron? maybe Jesse is blackmailing them, or Skynet sent her to betray them (remember chapter 9, complications) and finally we found Ms Weaver and former Agent Ellison… maybe is the beginning of Skynet…? I can’t wait for the 14 chapter!!!!!

okay … this so sux i am not in the states and i have NO WAY of keeping up with this series … so what is this about TRANSEXUALS & RILEY? can someone PLEASE fill me in? i am finding nothing for details // it would be a nice post Christmas present to know // also be nice if FOX allowed other IPs to access the videos grrrrrr hence i will never buy the series! never! stupid to not let the rest of the world watch

keeping with my earlier comment. the last thing sarah saw outside the warehouse, seems like a flying HK… it’s seems to be skynet are builted by more than one company, with the military!

Ellison teaches God to Cormartie / John Henry, but I think it would be useless, not ‘coz machines doesn’t know the diference between good or evil, heaven or hell, black and white (machines could adapt this theory using 0 or 1). is just ‘coz they can’t understand the dimensions about faith (remember Cameron in the chapter 1 when she said “faith is not a part of my program” as sarah replies “not for me 2″)

Ok. Merry Xmas for all of U, and TSCC Cast and Crew!

As much as I like the character of Kyle Reese and his portrayer Jonathan Jackson, I hope the writers do a good job of explaining how Kyle is still alive.

Kyle is real, if you watch the February promo Kyle shows up talking to Sarah, talking to that doctor, moving blinds to look out the window and then standing outside looking at the stars with Derek, Sarah, and Cameron.

The only thing I can think of to explain how Kyle got here is that someone did something with his body back when he “died”. I know of plenty of cases where doctors do things without consent to living patients so it isnt too far fetched to think that they would take the body of some Joe Doe that doesnt appear to have anyone left behind to miss him.

I hope the second half of the season is better than the first half was, I had such high hopes for this show after the first season.

Riley and Jesse need to go, they have irritated me since day one.
No more new terminator of the week.
The first season all the shows built on eachother to build a story and this season all the shows are seperate without any connecting themes.
The main characters need to spend more time together, characters to everything on their own and sometimes dont even show up at all.
Ellison and Weaver need to do something interesting or be killed off.
The writers need to focus on the established characters and not bring in new characters every week.

I am neutral on my opinion of Jesse, although I will say I don’t think she adds crap to the show. But Riley has annoyed me from day one. She’s such a flaky bimbo, too whiny and immature to realistically seem like a survivor of the apocolyptic future. Would somebody PLEASE just kill her off already?! I had hoped they had finished her off in that wrist cutting scene at the end of 2.13, and was truly disappointed to learn from the Thomas Thekker spoilers that they didn’t. I agree with the other person on this forum, Mike or whoever it was, who wants to see Cameron and John get together. I think they could do some interesting stuff with a machine learning how to “feel,” like Schwarzzenager’s character did at the end of T2. Certainly, Cameron is a MUCH more interesting and complex character to watch than Riley, and I hope they have more scenes between her and John like they did in season one.

Also, another thing that really bugged me was the episode in which Cameron was going off to the library in the middle of the night. Granted, it made for an interesting little subplot with her finding and killing off the termintor from 1920. But the implication was that she had been going to the library at night for awhile. Shouldn’t she be at home at night guarding John and Sarah, especially when they are sleeping and most vulnerable to attack from potential terminators? Plus, I thought she had uncovered the 3-dot mystery in that episode: that looking at the three dot constellation was how the terminator knew he was in the wrong time, and decided to wall himself up in that building and wait for New Year’s Eve 2010 so he could complete his assasination mission. I figured they would show some scene with Cameron telling Sarah, “Hey, I figured out the significance of the 3 dots,” and the whole 3-dot storyline thing would be done, allowing them to move on to investigate another clue on the wall. The fact that she never even mentioned it to Sarah just made no sense to me. And I really wish more explanation would have been offered as to why the terminator was sent back to kill that guy, what the potential victim’s significance was to the future.
