TSCC Producers Give us a Ray of Hope for TSCC Season 3

So is it canceled or isn’t it? As we reported previously, Michael Ausiello over at EW seems to think it’s a done deal, though FOX has not said either way, and will wait until May 18 to unveil their Fall line-up, at which time we’ll be able to see for ourselves is TSCC will be on it or not — if it’s not, then that means it’s been canceled. In response to Ausiello’s scoop, TSCC’s people have twittered responses.
Ashley Edward Miller, a writer on the show, said this:
Time for Ausiello’s semi-annual SCC termination report. False again. (Remember “sets were destroyed” report? Now you know context, people).
But that was just one writer on the show, so I didn’t really take it all that seriously.
But here’s Josh Freidman, TSCC’s head honcho, who was also in a disbelieving mode:

Ouch. Looks like Friedman is really going out on a limb to call Ausiello’s article wrong. I hope he has very good reasons to say it publicly, because you don’t really want to get into a tiff with one of these gossip people.
In any case, May 18 will tell us once and for all if TSCC will return for a third season. And if it does, Brian Austin Green says a third season would be “incredible”. He told CBR this about about the third season, as well as explaining the ending for those who still don’t “get” the whole situation with John:
The third season is going to be incredible, if it happens. There were no intentions of this being a series finale. It was absolutely a season finale. There’s a plan where this can go and it’s so good….
You have this episode where John Connor travels to a future where John Connor never existed. I don’t know if people completely get it because we work on a string theory, which we’ve dealt with during the season. We dealt with that with Jessie, in the future that she came from there was Charles Fisher, who tortured everyone. In the future I came from, he never existed. I don’t remember him. We were still together within these parallel futures but they were still different and they still had their own paths. This is the same concept. For John Connor to travel to a future where he never existed, where Kyle Reese never left, where Derek and Kyle are still fighting side by side, where Allison (the human Cameron was based on) is still very much present, what becomes of John? What better situation for somebody to grow up in and become the future leader than that? Than to be fighting in what he’s been trying to prevent? Not just being the top dog, being listened to for everything, but having to actually listen and follow.
So what does this all means? Fingers crossed for a third season, guys! All is not lost! Thanks to IO9 for compiling all this data.

What’s the point in printing this “news” if it completely contradicts itself on a day to day basis? It was bad enough reading that garbage that somebody posted relating to the story of the final episode of season 2.
I mean where do you people get these “sources” from? As they are clearly “nobodies,” trying to be “somebodies” pretending to have knowledge people are supposed to be able to conclude into facts.

I want it to continue! I mean the storyline is great I love the whole “what happened to John?” In order for a future without John, either he dies in the past and never led the resisitance so someone else did, but also did Sarah still die (since she was left in the past?) Does John still become the leader and still send his dad back, and if so, how? Are he and Allison together in the future and is that why he sent her back too? To make sure that she “betrays” him in order for her to join Cromarti and take him to the future in the first place to set the events from Season One in motion period? I hope, hope, hope that they continue this series for a long time-or do what they did with Firefly and create a movie (Made for TV if needed) to answer and wrap up the storylines!

I posted a three days ago to the Season 2 forum, post #167, which ties in with what has been hinted at for season 3 by Brian Austin Green. I won’t go into everything I said, but the key thing is this travel to the future gives John Connor the opportunity to gain the experience he will need in his own time-line. He jumped forward in time creating a future in which he didn’t exist because he wasn’t around in the intervening years. After he spends time there and gains the knowledge and experience he will need to be the threat to Skynet, then he just time travels back to a point in time shortly after he left. This will restore the time-line to what it should be. He then goes on with his fight in present day and hopefully laying down the groundwork for the future resistance.

I’m sure it will come back, I’m not worryied, Fox will not miss this oportunity, I heard that the producers want some cartoons inspired on Terminator just like they done in the MAtrix.
There is nothing on Project Fox about this. 30%, at the time of this writing, of voters on P: Fox favor T: SCC and Dollhouse over other lineups; I’m not going to list those here.
I suggested a new topic for T: SCC, and apparently it was refused, or they take a very long time to approve new topics. I asked very specifically for the show to be renewed, but I think I’m being ignored.

I signed the petition made up and posted earlier on this site, and I hope it’s going to be good, but I have a feeling that if Fox executives are really as oblivious as reported far and wide across the net, there’s no saving it. Not trying to be a party pooper, here, just trying to inject a bit of realism. I hate realism, but there it is.
If TSCC were being renewed, then FOX would’ve featured new episodes during SWEEPS TIME in May. It’s not being renewed people, give it up.
This gives me a bit of hope. I want to believe that there wil be a third season. This a great show and I look forward to watching it every week online. FOX don’t waste a good thing.
I really didn’t like the season finale, but I’d still very much like to see a third season. I desperately want to believe FOX is not stupid enough to believe they can get better ratings on a Friday night than they have with TSCC. If they keep canceling serial dramas like they have in the past, they’re going to end up like NBC.

maaan i hope that comes true. i sooooo want a 3rd season as all of us do, n that concept sounds awsome, thow i hope he goes back to see sarah b for she dies. but if it does happen it would probly end up crossing the same time line as the in the first movie where kyle will have to go back n protect sarah. that would b cool.

In Terminator Kyle Reese told to Sarah Connor that a man show up and that man is her son. In “Born to Run” John just appear, and nobody knows it.
In Terminator - Rise of the machine, the terminator T-1000 told to John that JUDMENT DAY can not be stopped, but may be delayed, its mission is to keep John in a save place.
At the end of “Born to Run” John does not exist in the future, so that means a new future with John and the victory of the battle, ‘Coz, if it remains in the past he will not be alive in the future.

Nobody knows John in the future in Born To Run because no one has been sent to our present time and by being trasported by Catherine Weaver to ‘a’ future’ after JD he erased his own existence there. What John obviously needs to do is send Kyle to 1984 in order to secure his own birth and help Sarah stop the first Terminator. An interesting thought as to WHY he ‘ skipped’ Judgement Day. Many time lines and many alterations of a future to come. Let’s hope we will indeed see a third season of TSCC.
I love this show so much, perhaps more so than the movies. Boy, am I still in mourning here, knowing fully well that this wonderful series has come to an end, as everything points to the inevitable. Hopefully-and I’m being sincere here-this show returns yet for another run…an action-packed, well-written & incredible season 3, and beyond. I have my fingers crossed. Heck, I’ve got my toes crossed!

This whole show has been on a knife edge from the mid point of the short series One, we all thought it would fold after 9ep but, then we were revitalised by the news of a Second series a full 22ep Whoopee !!. Half way through that it looked likely to be cut off in it’s prime! but, no we got the full run.
Now only a week after the finale we debate it’s future, the above quote from Brian tells me the cast don’t know and it’s probably in the balance.
The writing has been superb ,probably a bit too deep at times for main stream public which, may have be it’s undoing.
I think this style of show has reached a new level from the usual “24 and Lost” format of spreading a storyline out over a series. I hope Fox returns it as the best IS yet to come and more people are finding out about it and following it all the time. I am in the UK and we, are powerless to influence anything overherebut here’s hoping!

SCC is one of the bests out there like prison break yet most people don’t know about it, If the season3 gives us a decent intro video & some convincing advertising it will hit the charts like ever before.
Because it’s all about the chemistry between the characters that’s why the show is amazing,
& If they really wanna terminate a show I think something like Fringe would b nice 4 that.

the best news i’ve heard in ages - The thought that TSCC could continue is just amazing. the scope for these characters is unlimited and each one of them is special and important - Fox please don’t end these characters now - they need season 3 and WE need them even more!!!!!!!!
there is a short story on the fox website its only 13 chapters but its very good it takes place after the last eposoide and its well worth viewing, i advise everyone to drop by ?????
Fox isn’t known for their brilliance with TV shows. They canceled Family Guy twice, and canceled Futurama.
Season 3 would open the door to some interesting creative writing. The whole series has had potential, but the dialog and writing has been weak… and the weaver character is inconsistent. They must have changed their minds halfway through S2.
It would be nice to see some real acting out of summer glau. if appropriate. that glitch episode where she turns human was a little much.
It is going to be such a difficult time waiting for Fox to announce whether Terminator will return next fall. Friday was such a downer last night because for the first time I didn’t have it to watch. The only other option was a rebroadcast of Ghost Whisper or a bunch of boring or stupid crap everywhere else. I hope they show rebroadcasts of season 2. It has been the only show worth watching on Fox all season. If they show it again in repeats over the summer, they might see it garner the interest of people who chose to watch the other shows it was put up against. Provided they schedule it properly.
I absolutely LOVE this show! I really hope it doesn’t get cancelled. Its not over till its over. I guess we’ll find out in May.

As for leaving my brain at the door when I went to see T3, that’s not it at all, I’m just not some anal retentive when it comes to being able to enjoy something made for entertainment value, and I don’t try to pick movies apart just because they don’t match MY VISION of what that universe should be. Do I have problems with some things that are done? You bet I do, but I’m not going to sit and complain about them because MY VISION and MY GOALS weren’t met by something I didn’t have the TALENT or MONEY to do myself, and anyone who tears them apart for these reasons should consider what’s wrong with their mental state.
Now, I want Season 3, and I want it badly, or I want a movie of some sort to finish the series, tie up the loose ends. As far as I’m concerned, the writers and producers for this series have done all in their power to stay within the mythos, a WHOLE LOT MORE than McG is doing with T4. The TSCC writers have done more research, obviously, and worked within an original time-line, or “bible”, to answer far more questions than any fan of the previous first two movies had a right to know, and they did it while incorporating information from the third movie, which is CANON material, like it or not, and done it in a fashion that honors Cameron’s vision and the fans of the series and movies.
You don’t get better than that, so zip it.

I’m agree with you. TSCC becomes to be TJCC, ‘coz now is John Connor who’s going to tell us his story… in quest of Cromartie/John Henry.
Just because John has jumped forward in time doesn’t mean they should rename the series. Sarah Connor is still in present day where Skynet is present. Don’t forget Skynet had that work camp discovered by them when they went to that funeral. Skynet built that flying terminator that was then used to attack Zeira Corp where Weaver was building John Henry to be a weapon against Skynet. Sarah still has a fight with Skynet. Present Day can be counter balanced against the future. We see Sarah investigating, locating, and fighting Skynets present in the past; and we see John Connor learning to be the soldier and leader he will need to be by fighting along side the future resistance. However, I do see the strong potential for a series focused around John Connor. For that to happen they would have to return John to present day, and events would have to unfold similar to what happened in T3. When I say similar, keep in mind I don’t mean identical. Just that Skynet would have to come online and start the war we know will happen. Whether Sarah is around for that to happen depends on the producers.

No, PJ88, it would still be Sarah Connor Chronicles, I think. Who says it’s John Connor that will become the prime focus? The writers would still concentrate on the present day more than the future, with outtakes concerning John Connor and how his mother’s actions affect him in the future. The quest for John Henry/Cameron -Cromartie is dead- is of secondary importance, believe it or not, and the primary focus will be, most likely, to get John back, though Sarah Connor may also enjoy some modicum of peace in the meantime, the first bit of peace she’s had since the whole debacle began.
I agree with the1russter very much, though I would like to expound on one point… “and we see John Connor learning to be the soldier and leader he will need to be by fighting along side the future resistance.” This new future is likely to be harder or softer, though I believe it will be the former, simply because John Connor stopped existing to oppose Terminator, so the machines became more numerous and would take much more effort to rid the world of Skynet. That being said, from what I saw of the season ender, it seems Humans are, at least, able to move around a lot more freely, which seems odd to me.
Now, if the future is harder without John Connor’s presence, than John will have to learn how to fight that harder future and, when he does return to the present, he’ll be even better prepared for the future. On the other hand, if the future is softer than what John has been prepared for all his life, then he’ll get a minor taste of what there’s supposed to be for him, which will still serve to prepare him for his own future.
If Fox doesn’t bring this series back then they are completely missing the boat on what people want to watch on TV. If they don’t bring it back, let’s home some other network has the intelligence to take it on.
Yeah I would be completly shocked if Fox doesn’t bring back TSCC for at least a third season. You can’t expect to have huge viewer ratings the first couple seasons in less you do the appropriate advertising which Fox hasn’t done, but overall the series has been great give it some time to get some word of mouth out there thats how shows become huge hits. This is one of the few shows that I watch that I would actually miss if it doesn’t come back for another season. Don’t make the same mistakes that you have made in the past Fox give this one a chance.
In case it has not been mentioned…. go show your support for the show and get the pre-order of season 2 dvd set or blue ray. let WB know the the show still has a solid fanbase and maybe it will sway the decision for a season 3 be it on fox or somewhere else.

I’m still working on getting his email address I cant verify now but so far i have preston.beckman@fox.com There’s a chance it’ll be renewed but this wont hurt those chance either.

I love the direction the plot headed on the season finale, but I don’t think the entire season should be focused on John in the future. I think they would parallel stories of Sarah in the present and John in the future, then bring John…(and maybe Derek?) to the present with Sarah and Mr. Elison…with Cameron’s chip, of course. I think the show would loose focus and continuity if John stayed in the future. Maybe John Conner would return the the present BEFORE Sarah being arrested and Cameron loosing her chip. John could switch the chip with Cameron, so Cameron retains the memories of what had happened. I don’t know, it sounds confusing, but I think the writers have a plan that would bring the storyline to a place where John is KNOWN in the future. Isn’t that the point of the entire Terminator mythos???

i was just mackin a comment guys. i had similer thoughts to what u all said. i know there not gonna change the name of the show if it comes back, i was just stating that the whole thing is focused on john any way. yes i know sarah is a big part of his life obviously. meh, what matters is that the show comes back because its AWSOME!!
To everyone who writes to Fox, please be polite. Nothing would hurt our cause more, than for Fox to receive a bunch of stupid hate filled letters. Just tell them how much you like the show, how you want to see another season on Fox, remind them of the tie-in with a major movie franchise. You know, the stuff that should encourage them to make another season. For many it is the only show they watch regularly on FOX so they should mention that too. Without T:TSCC there will be no reason for them to watch Fox.

this show got better and better, and i hope fox does not cancel it. it would be a shame as there are so few worthwhile shows to watch. i also like the pairing of tscc with dollhouse. if tscc is cancelled i will not tune into fox on fridays.
decisions by networks to cancel shows with a solid fanbase hurts them the most. i have not been interested in fox fridays since firefly got canceled. i am sure i am not the only one who feels this way. thanks, don’t cancel tscc.
I’m from England where Virgin 1 runs the show, have emailed Virgin to press Fox and Warner to continue making it and would urge anyone else from the UK to do like wise. It all helps. Its the only thing I watch on Virgin pretty much as most seem to watch Fox for the same reason.
I have to be honest when I say no show has made me as loyal a watcher, as Terminator SCC. It is extremely well written and the actors have an amazing chemistry. I never cared for Brian Austin Green when he was in Beverly Hills 90210…but I adore him in Terminator! Summer Glau, Lena Headly are both perfect in their roles…and Thomas Dekker is the best John Connor! He’s wonderful! Fox…please don’t pull this series, it’s amazing! I’m a 33 year old busy mother of a 4 year old and a wife-whose also employed-and you’ve finally managed to grab my attention with something really special. And I make damn sure I make time to watch it EVERY week(even when you changed it from Monday to Friday, which is why it may not be doing as well). Others obviously feel the same way from what I’ve read, so give it some more consideration before you pull the plug on this fantastic series…

I hope and I hope. TV (along with FOX) is nothing without TSCC. I am boycotting FOX if they believe TSCC is not worthy.
Seriously, this show is the best thing in my life to take my mind of off the recession. Even if per chance TSCC is scraping by with a lower number of viewers, FOX can easily get by. I believe I am suffering the effects of TSCC withdrawal.
FOX, we beg for Season 3 and beyond. Well, I beg for Season 3 at least.
The show and the writing have been excellent at times. In all - one of the best acted shows that has been broadcast in many decades.

I Saw that Summer is going to be in the UK the next three days at Starfury T1. Everyone in the UK let summer know how many fans all over the world are supporting her and the show.
T:TSCC is the only thing on TV I watch now. I sure hope Season 3 is made… and maybe some more after?
I swore i would never let Fox mess with my head again after cancelling Angel and firefly after watching a fantastic finale now face the prospect of yet another potentially great show biting the dust before it’s time. If it is cancelled please somone pick it up or make a film to tie up the loose ends

After reading “all” the above comments, and pulling my hair out during some, I have this to say. I love this series. despite the “soap opera” episodes that sometimes flooded season 2. It is the 1 of 3 shows that I still watch on cable. 1st of all. The Sarah Connor Chronicles can’t exist without Sarah Connor. So John has to go back. To the producers. It wasn’t very obvious that Allison was indeed Alisson on the season finalle. Sarah needs to stop being so emotional and start getting tough… She is the mother of the would be world leader after all. If, and only if the series is going to follow the premise of the hollywood blockbusters. Sarah was the main source of John Connors thrive to become a great worrier/leader. She should learn to stop babying John and also learn to show a little courtesy to Cameron. How many times has she saved everyones life during season 1 & 2. By someome implying that John went to the future to send his dad to the past, so he could be born, that could be written in to season 3, but thats about all. Season 3 would have to pick up where Terminator 2: Judgement day left off.
There is alot of room for improvement as far as storyline and action, but this series is by far one of the most captivating shows in my lifetime. Think, and Think hard about what the audience in general want to see, and if good enough, it doesn’t matter what day of the week it’s aired on.

if you remember dogs don’t like the terminators, and she wes petting that dog without it going nuts. He did not go into the future to send his dad back, he went to get cameron back because he cares for her more than he wants to admit. by jumping ahead in time he skipped over judgement day and the point where he becomes the leader. since he’s created a new timeline now, you are right he will have to go back eventually but I suspect he might run into his mom 20 years older… who knows.
We will have to leave that up to Josh
I hope Fox does not cancel this show. It is my most favorite show to watch every week. The writing is fantastic as well as it is a show that makes you think about life, the future, how people relate to each other, and the existence of life and struggle to preserve it. It has mystery and a sense of purpose. I don’t know why it has not done better in the ratings. Maybe Fox could keep it on the same night instead of changing it half way through the season when it was moved from Monday to Friday. Maybe there needs to be more advertising. Maybe the deep philisophical ideas are too much for an ADD generation. I don’t know but what I do know is that this show is Brilliant! I will be so disappointed if it is not renewed for a 3rd season. Fox Please keep this show!!!
I am hoping beyond hope they decide to bring this show back, but I’ve been ignored at Project Fox every time I’ve tried to bring it up. I’ve not received a response to another letter I sent them, yet, which I’ve copied into a word doc and will post here, later, answer or no answer, but I have to say it’s not looking good for the home team. It’s as if Fox has no continuing interest in any of us in this community.
I don’t mean to be a party pooper, but I think it’s done, and reality is a good thing. I would love, more than anything, to be proved wrong; I’ve never felt about ANY show, including Star Trek, the way I do about T: SCC, and I’m a humongous fan of Star Trek. Everything about this show is extraordinarily rich, but the only sort of rich it would seem Fox cares about is green, not anything with any measure of true substance.
I’ll keep an eye out the next day or two for return email through Project: Fox, but don’t count on anything good; don’t hold your collective breath.
T:SCC Is one of the best show I’ve seen in year’s and I’m keeping my finger’s and anything else I can cross for this show to come back for a third season.

Well, I’ve tried to find out, tried to research where the statement about Season 3 being a go, or in his words “not canceled”, are but they’ve either been cut off the Project Fox web site or I’m not looking in the right community.
I asked him if it would be okay for me to post his responses to me, and he asked that I not do so because he could get into a lot of trouble. I’m not here to get anyone in trouble, if I can help it, so I’ll just have to ask you guys to take my word for it, and then wait for May news, anyway. Sorry, guys, I tried to find out more, I did my research, but I found bupkiss in the places I was looking.

Fox, Bring back Terminator we need it in our lives. I think Sarah Connor went to the future because at the end of the Season Two Finale some one else comes through. Fox, PLEASE don’t cancel this show! We are so into all the variables and possibilities. We plan our evening around TSCC & Doll House. We were pleased when you moved it to Friday nights! We were shocked when we heard it may be canceled. We have recommended the show to several friends and they were beginning to watch it too. It is such a terrific show, give us more!!!
We love this show in the UK and hate the idea that it may end but please please please writers if you do get another season don’t try to get too clever and create stupid plotlines. They have already set the seeds for confusion, I hope they sort it out and don’t end up with rubbish like the two Matrix sequals!!

Okay, Star Trek Was magnificent, and a lot of people were expecting it to be crap, so hopefully T4 will be just as amazing, in its own vein.
I’ve been reading alot of the posts here after I posted my 2 cents. 1st of all. I love the series.. the premise and direction of season 1 and the first half of season 2 was superb. I was hooked. My comments earlier about toward the end of season 2 (with the exception of the two final episodes were a little drawn out. emotions is fine and necessary to add the human touch to a sci-fi series. But lets not forget. It is a “Sci-Fi” series. it wavers from the Terminator Movies 1,2 & 3, but seems to step back in line again. I’m alright with that.
Sarah is suppose to be a fighter. almost cold and isolated because of everything she’s been through. She was (in the movies anyway) why John Connor was so strong and determined. From what i saw most of the second half of season 2 does not match the scenerio. But again, I love the show and want it to continue. I want a cameron of my own
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with John Connor - having jumped forward in time leaving his Mother Sarah back in 2009. As it is the Sarah Connor Chornicles I’d say they might jump forward and backward within the same episode, similar to ‘Lost’ - something of which I am not in favor.
As for Terminator Salvation - it will be interesting to see if they tie this in with the T-SCC. One thing I like about Star Trek canon - it all links in - until Star Trek eleven, but that’s another story/series.
I’m looking forward to seeing John in the future too. Gets him out from under his mothers wings and a chance to get some real life experience in the post Judgment Day world under the tutelage of his uncle and father. How much will he tell them? Can’t wait. And now he has the opportunity to know the real person, Allison, that Cameron was built to emulate. Will there be romance or rejection? Will he get Cameron’s chip back or is John Henry’s mission too important to jeopardize? Sarah Connor is still a fugitive in present day. Her only ally is James Ellison, former FBI agent. Her only clue Kaliba. And does Agent Auldridge really believe she’s telling the truth, or was that just a means to get her to reveal John’s location? Is he enemy or friend?
Can’t believe the news that Dollhouse has been renewed possibly over TSCC! Not looking good.
I hope this serie contines cause i really like it but the end at season 2 disappointed me a little too. John just deciding to go with a terminator to the future and there is a problem with his father in the future. In order for John to be born kyle has to go back to the past and he always dies there cause John comes from a timeline where Kyle alwasyd dies. How the hell can he be alive again then in the future. Since when do people get up from the death. Unless the future john is in now kyle must be a terminator or else it will be a heavy storyline consistency

There isn’t a problem with Kyle being alive in the future, because either a) John’s gone forward to a point in time before Kyle was sent back, or b) John’s going forward in time has created an alternate future time line in which no one has been sent back in time. This is because, John’s traveling forward meant that he wasn’t around during the period of Judgment Day to become the leader. He leaped over his own future. Therefore, if he wasn’t around to become the leader of the resistance, then SkyNet would have had no reason to create the time travel machinery. To get things back on track he will have to go back in time to a point shortly after leaving. In the meantime, while he is there looking for John Henry to get Cameron’s chip back, he can learn the skills to become the leader in his own time line once he gets back.
This series involves the use of time travel. It is quite possible that John’s father comes from an alternate future time line. Every time a terminator or a resistance fighter is sent back in time to do something to thwart the opposite party, they are highly likely to create an alternate future time line. If they were to travel back to the future, they would find a different future then the one they left. This was delved into during the Derek Jesse relationship. Derek feels he has made changes. Jesse won’t confirm what day was Judgment day for her. Fisher has created his own future by ruining his past younger self’s reputation by using his security codes to access a military computer. Do you not watch the show? Or do You hang your brain on the hat rack every time you sit in front of the television? If you want empty drivel there are plenty of reality shows, sitcoms, and soap operas to watch.
Come on people. If you watch the show, at least think about what you are watching. The show is loaded with all kinds of little details that can give you pause to wonder about.

Thanks Paul. I do get over reactive some times. It’s just I’ve been through this already. There is a whole discussion on this website that covers this stuff. I get frustrated easily. Especially when I read ignorant posts like the one I responded too.
I am not a super genius, but I have had a healthy interest in time travel since my early teens. Though the mathematics are way, way beyond my humble capabilities, I do appreciate the theory and all of the complications that can arise from time travel.
I like shows that make me think. I like good science fiction. TSCC is a great show. It has good action, great characters, and fascinating stories. Unfortunately, as Andyk pointed out to me before, we the hardcore fans who get this stuff, have to rely on the broader audience who, as you have pointed out “turn off their noggin’s and do what they’ve been lulled to do over the past 70 years of television.”
I think the problem may not be so much as how mundanes continue to function in our world, but why have we started turning our world over to them.
I agree with you russter just look at the never ending rise of reality shows at the expense of scripted shows, I just hope it goes full circle and people get fed up of garbage and look for something more. I enjoy huge, complex sci-fi novels but am almost embarrassed to be seen reading one now cos of the nerd image.
Getting back to TSCC we are now the last show to have its fate given out, there is virtually no room left on the fall schedule now, I can only hope there is some frantic last minute negotiations going on! Just a few hours now!

I have been working feverishly on a novel (It was going to be a short story, but it just kept growing) that picks up after the Season2 finale. I was writing it for fun. But if FOX doesn’t renew the series, it will be my last chance to see the characters in action and to give Sarah, John and Cameron the proper ending they deserve.

NEVER have I seen a program that pushed the limits of inventiveness such as Terminator - Sarah Connor Chronicles. You all should be proud to have been a part of the production.
My advice regarding Fox - DON’T boycott - support the stations that provide first rate programs. Money runs the economy, through advertising eyeballs.

I’m 45 y/old. I love Sci-Fi - I can’t stipulate who was my favorite character, as each has their own best features. From Sarah’s Mothering with muscle on a knife edge, to Cameron and her naive sexiness. John’s teenage angst and Rhys’ strong big brother/uncle support. The top of the deck would have to be Shirley Manson who plays Catherine Weaver (T-1001) - a magnificent performance.

I’m 40, I love the show and I’m writing a story. It was going to be short but it is growing. I will be posting a link to it soon. My story is called “Reunion” and picks up immediately after the season2 finale. I would have started posting it all ready but I’ve gone back and I am editing chapter 1. (When I say gone back, I mean gone back. I’m already 8 chapters in with at least 4 or more to go to get it complete.)

I just watched Entertainment Tonight regarding Terminator Salvation. Apparently the movie ends with an opening for another movie. Christian Bale said that if the script is okay he’d definitely consider playing John Connor again. Soooooo…. John obviously doesn’t bite the bullet. Also good news for Thomas Decker I’d say!

I’m not sure what to think of Terminator Salvation. Before you see it make sure you watch “Road Warrior” with Mel Gibson from 20 years ago. In Australia it was called “Mad Max”.

BRING BACK T:SCC ITS THE BEST SHOW EVER! BETTER THAN THE MOVIES. MOST PEOPLE JUST DONT KNOW ABOUT IT. I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT IT TIL THE SECOND SSN. NOBODY I KNOW DID. TILL I STARTED TELLING THEM ABOUT IT. AND NOW EVERY ONE I KNOW THAT HAS SEEN IT IS HOOKED BAD. ITS SPREDING LIKE A WILD FIRE AROUND WERE I LIVE . AND I JUST LEARNED THAT ITS BEEN CANED. EVERY BODY IS GOING TO BE SO PIST OFF AT FOX AND THE WB.
T:TSCC was terminated by WB and The Halcyon Company—not FOX Broadcasting per sé—in order to prevent it from interfering with T4 and T5. The show was merely used to advertise the movies, sorry to say. I’m rather disappointed. Halcyon, who owns the rights to the franchise, only licensed the last 9 episodes, after much persuasion, on a condition that it segued right into Terminator Salvation. Now, legally no one else is authorized to produce or broadcast a third season, as Halcyon will not license further episodes. It is truly unfortunate. The Chronicles will be greatly missed. T4 sucked; and T5 will suck even harder if it gives us more of Salvation, which was lacking in everything but action, regrettably.
That sucks. Halcyon is really stupid. this program was so much better than the movies. I watched T3, and it was a sad successor to T2. TSCC is definitely the best successor to the movie franchise. It gives us an opportunity to get to know the characters much better than in any film.
I’ve only seen clips of T4, and frankly the story seems so far removed from what it should be about. It is too focused on this new Marcus character rather than on John Connor leading the resistance in war. Another sorry successor wrapped up in special effects.
Bring back TSCC! It is much better than the movies!
Truely a sad state of affairs. And you have to wonder what the Corporate “Thinking” at Halcyon is. Season 2 is about to get underway (or is underway) in Japan and the Far East with its huge market.
I have only seen the spoilers of T4, but knew that with the same scriptwriters as T3, and McG at the helm it would have no story/plot but lots of special effects. So I will not buy it nor will I go to see it at the movies.
Between them, WB/Halcyon, McG and the writers, they have destroyed the whole ethos of what the Terminator theme was.
TSCC stuck to the theme, and it required a little more intelligence to follow than the “Shoot Em Up’s” that we have , and doubtless will follow.
Really sucks! The Halcyon Company is hugely mistaken by banking more on the movie - T: Salvation which is more of a freak show with effects and is even less interesting than even the Transformers movie.
They should have put their money more on the T:SCC series and pushed ahead with season 3! I bet they would have made more money developing the story further from telling the story of Sarah Connor to telling the story of Cameron/ Allice and John in a parallel universe/ worm hole and the stuff stars are made of. Tsk ..tsk…
I hope somebody in Halcyon has enough gray matter to turn things around and bring back T:SCC or perhaps call it T:JCC or T:CPC or T:AJCC! ) - this time to tell the story of John Connor and Allice/ Cameron! - this will surely put enough mojo in the series - great acting, great effects, great storyline, great sexual tension, and great directing! - whew! what could be better?

This is so unfair…i just saw the last episode today. i knew what it was coming, still it was hard to let go my favorite show…this sucks, really…i mean, why did Prison Break had a movie to explain things, and they needed, and TSCC doesn’t? c’mon, there are a lot of things that need to be explained and i think that not only us, but also the actors, need this. there is some posts that say that Lena Headey has the fault.please, if someone has the fault is FOX for not hearing us and not reading not only this but also the petitions that we won to bring TSCC back for another season. what is their problem? money? i’m pretty sure that they could come up with something. but anyway…we will not be shut down, we will not die…the resistence is in every one of us, we only have to find the strenght to fight back…!corage, we are not alone.

I agree with Gary. TSCC was an hour of television I looked forward to every week.
Everything else on TV is just rehashing of old ideas or stupid reality shows. Nothing original. But here was TSCC a great show, wonderfully written and acted. You cared about the characters who were marvelously portrayed by some of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. They deserve so much from the industry and their fans for the great work they did.
It was my favorite hour of TV. And now its gone. I do what I can with my limited finances to encourage the powers that be to make a third season, or that rumored DVD movie. If any show deserves renewal, its TSCC.
Petitions are useless, the answer is simple. DONT WATCH FOX!!!
Wait for shows to actually have a conclusion and use a torrent site to download them.
FOX has consistantly droped shows before they mature or cancled them cause they dont have the timeslot or dragged out good shows till they suck.

TSCC was the only show I watched on tv. In fact apart from the occasional documentary, there is nothing on UK TV worth watching.
Dolls House has started here, but I have not and will not watch it. Anything thats made by FOX, I hit the OFF button. I hoped big sales in the Far East might have helped get the show back. But the longer we gone on, the less chance of it happening grows.

Actually, Sarah Will still have to work in the “present” to make sure that key elements for her son are in place for him to save humanity in the future. Setting up resistance/training cells, slowing down the technological advances of skynet for the future. Not just ensuring that people on lists from the future survive but doing things to maybe add people to those lists. At this point in time Jon loses focus for Skynet and Sarah would absolutely become a priority.
There are literally lots of storylines that could be written to tell a diverse story with memoriable protagonists (not just Sarah, but Cameron should come back and can easily re-occur in the series).
There are tons of repercussions from the first two seasons that can be explored… everything from relatives of victims of “terrorist acts” by Sarah Connor to people who see the truth of the Terminators but embraces that future as what the world deserves…. imagine a nemesis that provides the machines with advice stemming from human intuition and cunning.
Terminator hunters of the week and/of the season has been overdone and might get a little boring… what of bounty hunting/hitmen squads hired to kill Sarah, and her reactions to accidentally killing humans? Remember Sarah isn’t a human killer… not by choice. There are virtually endless entertaining possibilites of a MULTIPLE seasons.
What of the implications of denying future life saving or changing technology from say… the handicap to slow the progression of Terminator robots?
Gaining access to people in positions of power to persuade them to kill technological projects, dismantle or sabotage more nuclear arms?
What of Cameron facing technologically superior terminators from farther in the future? How does she go about upgrading? The upgrades in question should be destroyed, but does she hide them from Sarah?
many questions to discover, to ask, to leave in the air, and to answer… many sweet possibilities of awesomeness…

As yet, we do not know who will have the rights to the Franchise, which includes TV productions. IF and its a big IF T5 goes ahead, we can only hope whoever makes it gives us TSCC 3 as a booster for their movie.
Its hope the sell off will be concluded by February. Until then we just have to wait and see.
I just have one question.
Who is making these dumb decisions on FOX to cancel shows that are the bomb?
I think they need to put some dates on prepared resignation letters.(Or Terminate the ones responible HAHA)
